D4 Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 he wud have been a brilliant striker in the premiership, just that he kept doin his knee in when he pplayed up front. but he was fantastic up front, no one braver
Collymore Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Ian Marshall was a fine header of the ball, his header against Derby when we beat them 4-0, right in the bottom corner!

Guest Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 He used to stay out after the rest had gone in from the warm up practising those headers. Fantastic!

supedaj Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 I think Elliott was a better header personally. His accuracy was excellent and he judged power and speed well to his to his advantage. One prime example is teh first goal against tranmere - he was going AWAY from the goal and managed to get enough on it to loop the keeper. Ian Marshall again another great header of the ball - that goal against Derby was a classic - I think he's also scored a hat trick against Derby right?
RoosterRussell92 Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Personally i think Les Ferdinand was the best headerer of the ball ever. Walshie was a complete legend though if only for that 1994 play-off final alone

Hitesh Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Top Quality!!! There are other players up there but i think Stevie Walsh was the bravest and did the job with the head every time!
filbertway Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Is this just based on leicester players or anyone, what about John Terry?
Durnerz Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 Les Ferdinands timing and the fact he wasnt the tallest of players just had a great leap and he was brave he gets my vote. Walsh was quality though.

The goals he scored against Southampton (on his debut), Newcastle and Bolton away were all amazing headers.

Deathside Posted 3 August 2005 Posted 3 August 2005 I will say no simply down to probability How many headerers of the ball are there? What the probability of SW being bestest? - Slim I would reckon Also, how d'you measure such a thing?
