65RosesFox Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Can't see this being mentioned in any other thread apologies if it is. Apparently Everton want Jesse Lingard on loan if they are to sell Marouane Fellaini to Utd. He never made an impact last season with us, so I wonder what Martinez has seen to want to bring him on loan for the season..... http://www.totalfootballmadness.com/2013/09/01/everton-demand-jesse-lingard-in-man-utd-bid-for-marouane-fellaini/
ADK Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 He didn't look at all ready last season but maybe he has matured.
65RosesFox Posted 1 September 2013 Author Posted 1 September 2013 True. Plus I think the Championship was a little too physical for him. He seems like a player that needs time on the ball. Would be interesting to see if he can cut it in the prem. Good luck to him if the loan deal does happen
LCFC FOX Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Would be typical for him be play like Messi for Everton
AKCJ Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Would be typical for him be play like Messi for Everton Was going to post something along these lines. He was shit for us, so he's bound to be a god everywhere else he goes.
65RosesFox Posted 1 September 2013 Author Posted 1 September 2013 Would be typical for him be play like Messi for Everton True. Then no doubt it will probably be Pearson's fault for turning him into a rubbish player when on loan with us and not getting the best put of him.
Leicesterpool Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 He didn't offer anything new to the team, he looked like a normal averaged midfielder.
lcfcsnow Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Creative player looks shit here but good elsewhere shock. All hail Nigel the tactical genius.
65RosesFox Posted 1 September 2013 Author Posted 1 September 2013 looked very good on uniteds pre season tour Yeah I seen some of the highlights, scored a couple as well.
Kitchandro Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 Creative player looks shit here but good elsewhere shock. All hail Nigel the tactical genius. Try making one comment on here without having a dig at Pearson. Go on, I dare ya.
MattGamble92 Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 He played the last 20 minutes for us all the time. Seems to be a bit of a trend to say everyone who gets 20 minutes to show what they can do is shit.
Jimothy Posted 1 September 2013 Posted 1 September 2013 He played about 5 games and mostly the last 20 minutes of those games. Ok he didn't look amazing, but I don't think you can judge a player on that amount of game time.
Fox92 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 He's obviously at Manchester United, one of the World's biggest clubs, for a reason. He impressed in pre season and I think he has made the England under-21 squad. Now another big club and good team, Everton, want him. He must be doing something right. Can't see how we can judge him on 5 minutes per game.
indierich06 Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 To be fair, he came to us during a tough time and it's a bit daft to expect a young lad who's never played Championship football to come in and set the world alight after a few sub appearances. I think Kane suffered for the same reason as well, despite he fact that he had some experience of Championship football. I wouldn't be averse to either of them coming back and giving them a more sustained chance to impress in the first team, as I'm sure they have a lot more to offer than what we actually saw while they were here.
Mack Posted 2 September 2013 Posted 2 September 2013 Too young, lightweight and green when we had him. Maybe he has developed, or maybe Martinez is just a shit Manager?
