Stadt Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Did you not read what I wrote? PFA Team of the Year (voted for by fellow players) Gerrard - 7 (2000-01, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09) Scholes - 2 (2002-03 & 2006-07) The facts speak for themselves (and for the players who actually played against both Gerrard and Scholes) The PFA team if the year is voted by players from all four divisions, which I find odd considering 70-80% haven't played against them.

It's just that I'd rather listen to Iniesta, Guardiola, Zidane, Edgar Davids' opinions- players who actually know what they're on about rather and who were world class in their time. If average players from mainly average teams want to vote for Gerrard then so be it

If average players from mainly average teams want to vote for Gerrard then so be it Being world class doesn't make their opinion more valid than an average player. Gerrard is clearly more highly rated by his peers as shown by the PFA results rather than a selection of quotes from the internet. Btw Zidane on Gerrard "Is he the best in the world? He might not get the attention of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo but yes, I think he might be."
