Going in hard at his book unveiling conference.

So far he's basically called Rooney a fat retard (actual quote is "a slow learner who struggles with fitness") and said he never thought Stevie G was a "top, top player". Madness. Can't work out if he's trolling with that last one or not.

This is gonna roll and roll.

Basically confirming things we all knew.

From Beckham to Keane to Rooney.

Everyone at Old Trafford is a cnut.

Can't wait for Darren's book.

I did like his comment that Benitez had no other managers as friends. Yeah, I'm sure Rafa is gutted that Allardyce, Pulis and Steve Bruce don't want to socialise with him.

might pick this up if its a reasonable price. £20 for a book is a piss take

(i realise its half that online , im referring to WH Smiths)

Rooney struggles with fitness? lol he's one of the fittest premier league players with a fat percentage below 4. He's everywhere in games. Trolling for me!

Looking forward to reading this. Gerrard not a top player though?! If winning an FA Cup and Champions League final nearly on your own doesn't define 'top, top player', I'd love to know what does.

Fair play for admitting he chose to sign Hernandez over Ozil.

Errr winning the league ? That's the sign of a great player. Cup competition come down to luck. Liverpool 05 champion league fluked it. West Ham deserved to win the F.A Cup in that final as well. Lampard a better player, ask him to show you his medals.

Can't wait for this - should be fascinating. Re: Rooney & Gerrard comments, I can see his point in both cases (hard to argue with the bloke whatever you make of him). Possibly Gerrard was world class for a while but he definitely hasn't been for some time.

That doesn't make him not a top player, after all winning the league is done over 35+ games and is a team effort, where as in cup competitions the best players shine and are the difference in winning cups due to there own quality and ability.

So by your flawless logic the likes of Paul Gascoigne, Bobby Moore and Gary Lineker aren't very good.

You don't just fluke a Champions League win.

As a massive Arsenal poo sniffer, your words are a little hypocritical. You deem Arsenal the best team in the world at the minute yet they've not won a trophy in about 8 years. They've not even fluked a cup win like Gerrard and his lucky pals.

One player cannot do it on their own. Gerrard has been a victim of his own loyalties by staying at Liverpool but he's still had a decorated career in the medals he's won. I'm sure he wished he could have got a league title and he would have done so had he left them and gone to Chelsea, plus he'd have another champions league medal and numerous more FA Cups. I applaud him for what he's achieved and Ferguson and his red wine moustache can fook off.

I hope he talks about Lee Sharpe, what a boy he was.

So I guess Tom Cleverley is better than Steven Gerrard?

He's basically still bitter that Gerrard turned United down, when Ferguson even came out and said he wanted him as a replacement for Keane.

You can't fluke anything in football, especially getting to a European Cup final and then winning it! Gerrard carried Liverpool for years, the FA Cup final in '06 highlighted that, and if anyone ever doubted his value to Liverpool then, on that day, he blew those opinions away with two World Class goals.

Gerrard is a more complete midfielder than Lampard. Fair play Lampard scores more goals, but Gerrard can win the ball back, pass, he is good in the air and very versatile.

You can't judge a player by the medals he has won. Matt Le Tissier won next to nothing, but he is still one of the greatest Premier League players ever.

I have to disagree with this part, Lampard is on par with Gerrard maybe even a better all round player.

Rubbish. Not as good in the tackle or range of passing.

Lamapard owes half his goals to Makelele.

People can't have seen the 05 Champions League Final and seriously tell me Gerrard wasn't a top player. Without him I'm convinced they'd have lost 5 or 6-0. He's also a better passer than Lampard (who btw hasn't played well for England for many years).

I take his point on Rooney though. We all know he's thick and he hasn't the type of agility he used to have where he could just twist and turn and power his way past defenders. And don't post the over head kick video because that is a different kind of agility. Since those heady days pf pre 2007 he's never really looked a picture of physical fitness. Fat is probably harsh but he's not thin or particularly muscular.

Anyway, I'm surprised Fergie has bothered being so controversial, but I'm hardly surprised he's a cvnt.

Hugo you think Ramsey is world class and he hasn't even won a League Cup, good logic. Please, please stop embarrassing yourself, you're not intelligent enough to wind people up, you have to many floors in your stupid comments.

Ferguson devoting a whole chapter on Liverpool is a little sad and pathetic, I think anyway. Never would Shankly or Paisley wrote an autobiography and wrote a chapter on Manchester United, never in a million years.
