The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Not really. I'd say pretty much any professionsl footballer would have Scholes over Gerrard.
Aus Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 And they say Pearson can't handle big names, Fergie can't seam to handle any player who has their own opinion. Keane, Beckham, RVN, Gerrard and Henderson who rejected him the list goes on. He loves quiet little players who sit around yes sir no sir three bags full sir such as Scholes and Neville. Fergie was the reason so many players don't fulfil their international career and constantly pull out of international squads.
The Year Of The Fox Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 My book should be here tomorrow, but I'm away early morning til Wednesday. Shame as would've been a good read.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 Not really. I'd say pretty much any professionsl footballer would have Scholes over Gerrard. You do know that the PFA Team of the Year is voted for by professional players? Gerrard has been voted in by his fellow players 7 times - most appearances in the Team of the Year in the Premier League era. Scholes has been voted in by his fellow players only 2 times. So what you said is clearly wrong.

Stadt Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 I bet rooney uses a crayon to cast his vote. lolIt'd have to be a non-toxic one because he'd chew it to pieces.

ozleicester Posted 27 October 2013 Posted 27 October 2013 1/4 of the way through and its ok, perhaps more a list of people and Fergies thoughts on them rather than an autobiography.

Uncle Albert Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 In fairness to Jordan Henderson he has been brilliant this season.
Fox92 Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 In fairness to Jordan Henderson he has been brilliant this season. He improved towards the end of last season as well. From what I saw of him when Liverpool were on tv anyway.
purpleronnie Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Got the book today, about two thirds in, and I have to say its pretty boring.
AKCJ Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 Got the book today, about two thirds in, and I have to say its pretty boring. Likewise, he doesn't really have a great story to tell with his personal life so he just gives his opinions of players. Basically. Anyone that has ever played for Liverpool is shit. Anyone who has ever left Man United is shit. Apart from Ronaldo who Fergie would go gay for.

Bert Posted 28 October 2013 Posted 28 October 2013 In fairness to Jordan Henderson he has been brilliant this season.Think some people forget he's still young.
Finnegan Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Shaun Goater and Stuart Pearce. Shaun Goater got his for charity work, I believe, not an illustrious career.

The Year Of The Fox Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 Started reading page 1 at 5pm today. currently on page 176
MPH Posted 29 October 2013 Posted 29 October 2013 I'm 6 chapters in. Not bad so far. has he made it public knowledge yet that he ( allegedly) struggles with alcoholism?
Danno Posted 30 October 2013 Posted 30 October 2013 Finished it. Waste of £13 as it didnt have anything which wasn't already common knowledge in it.
Guest MattP Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 Finished it. Waste of £13 as it didnt have anything which wasn't already common knowledge in it. It's been panned in most reviews I've read. Say it's more a book with his opinions rather than an autobiography. Don't think I'll bother.

Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 31 October 2013 Posted 31 October 2013 http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z5I4tYHP2fw Clearly Did you not read what I wrote? PFA Team of the Year (voted for by fellow players) Gerrard - 7 (2000-01, 2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06, 2006-07, 2007-08, 2008-09) Scholes - 2 (2002-03 & 2006-07) The facts speak for themselves (and for the players who actually played against both Gerrard and Scholes)
