davieG Posted 6 November 2013 Share Posted 6 November 2013 Due to an increased demand for tickets over recent days, the Club are experiencing some technical problems with its online booking system on www.LCFCDirect.com. With a bumper crowd expected for Saturday’s clash with Nottingham Forest, as well as a large number of fans attempting to secure their seats for the Capital One Cup Quarter-Final with Manchester City, a number of issues have arisen with online ticket bookings. The significant increase in web traffic has meant that the website and transaction system is currently performing at slower-than-normal levels on high demand fixtures such and Nottingham Forest and Manchester City. Unfortunately these problems mean that we are currently unable to take Mastercard payments online, and supporters who are experiencing incompatibility issues when using Internet Explorer 10 are advised to use another browser or to use the ‘compatibility viewer’ when visiting the site. This should resolve all compatibility issues. The LCFC Direct site is currently not compatible with iPad or iPhone applications although developers are working on a solution which is mobile optimised. The Club would like to thank its supporters for their patience regarding the issues and reassure them that it is working with its software development partners to resolves the issues. To help with the weight of web traffic, supporters are advised to use the online booking system during non-peak hours where possible – avoiding lunch times and periods between 8-9am and 6-8pm. Supporters can now purchase tickets online in the SK4 area of the stadium, after an earlier issue preventing this was resolved. Secure your seat at King Power Stadium… Online: Buy your tickets 24-hours-a-day from www.lcfcdirect.com. In person from the City Fanstore: The City Fanstore at King Power Stadium will be open 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday. On Matchdays, the City Fanstore is open from 9am until kick-off and then for 45 minutes after the final whistle. Call the City Sales Centre: Call 0844 815 5000 between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday. Stuliasz Posted 6 November 2013 Share Posted 6 November 2013 I love how it is apparently acceptable for a ticketing website to be experiencing difficulties due to high volumes of traffic. Selling tickets for events happens mostly in short high volume bursts! If their setup can't handle this, whoever set it up wants replacing. It's not as if technology or finances are a problem! Solihullfox Posted 6 November 2013 Share Posted 6 November 2013 The whole system has been flakey since it started. Different people have entirely differing experiences when trying to book tickets from no problem at all to complete and utter frustration. The club must know that the online system has been,at best, indifferent since the start and have done nothing about it even with the chaos during the play offs at the end of last season. They need to get it sorted especially for all of us who don't live in Leicestershire and can't spend hours trying to get through on the phone. foxer Posted 6 November 2013 Share Posted 6 November 2013 Does anyone happen to know how the £2 off match tickets for being a member gets calculated? Doesn't seem to take anything off online even though I'm using my members login.
