LCFC FOX Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 Leicester may be a shithole, but it's our shithole
ashfosse Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 great read again. especially agree with our lack of individuality ie chants, flags. In terms of improving our support, i think trying to spark our away support to be even better (original songs, flags etc) then this could perhaps start to make its way to the KP. start on a smaller scale then build up.

That happens quite often to be honest. A chant takes off away from home, the L1ers bring it back home and before you know it, the whole ground's singing it.
Kitchandro Posted 21 November 2013 Posted 21 November 2013 For anyone who fancies a butcher's at our latest article: Club, city and culture – let’s not settle for being also rans Great read, something I've thought for ages. Our fans are so self-deprecating about us, it just annoys me. The kind of people who say we're not a Premiership sized club because we've never been lucky enough to win the league or FA Cup, or that Forest are bigger than us cos they were lucky enough too have Cloughie (seriously, fvck off) the kind of people who say WYS is shit (no, you're shit, and passionless). Being realistic is fine but teetering on the side of underrating us as a club isn't the right way to go about it. There's plenty of reasons to believe we're a big, brilliant club. We should be leaning more towards arrogance than modesty, who cares if we piss other club' fans off a bit? We should fill our heads with the stuff we're proud of when it comes to the football, so we're chomping at the bit by 3 o'clock. When that time comes, you should have drummed it into yourself that Leicester City are the greatest club in the world.

We'll be better in the Premier League, "You've only come to watch Leicester" at the Emirates, Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge etc and big day out when they come to us.

Bayfox Posted 11 December 2013 Posted 11 December 2013 Another good read. I have just been over to watch ADO den haag, ironically I missed the belgium party bus rock up at our place, but was struck by the number of fans from swansea, legia warsaw, club brugge amoungst others over to cheer on ado v ajax. dispite ajax being 4 goals better it was a interesting experience non the less and was as an isolated englishman with a southend supporter who has adopted ado as his 2nd team was warmly welcomed by everyone I met. i really hope that this movement can get off the ground and bring some much needed atmosphere back to the kp. is there any plans for the group to set up camp in part of the ground. The kop for example could do with a few banners flags flares!!! Ok I know the last bit is not gonna happen but if enough people are keen maybe we can go back to backing our team for 90 mins and sod those who dont.
Union FS Posted 22 January 2014 Author Posted 22 January 2014 Does being Against Modern Football actually get us anywhere or could there be a better approach? Read our thoughts here
Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Spot on again. I've been completely guilty of #AMF in the past but ultimately it's meaningless. It's hardly a secret that there are a growing number of fans who are discontent with the way things are going in the game so a few tweets will mean nothing. Failure to talk in the language most owners do (giving them money) will eventually be the answer but I don't see it happening. It'll get a lot worse before it gets better.
