BigSmudge Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I know this may have been mentioned already, but why is their such a large amount of negativity/animosity towards the team and players recently? Were 3rd for ****s sake! Whilst I do agree that the result and performance yesterday was substandard, we have to look at the big picture instead of whining on about small errors and stop looking for scapegoats, so come on guys, liven up a little; third in the league and I'm happy.
elangLCFC Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Agreed, two bad games is hardly a capitulation, Cardiff did it last season, United did it when they won the league last season, Arsenal have had bad games this season, chin up!

Good lad! Glad I'm not the only one who isn't weeping over being third in the league.
Happy Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 It isn't negativity it is questioning some very strange decisions of the management is that not allowed?
StanSP Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 It isn't negativity it is questioning some very strange decisions of the management is that not allowed? Some question it in the right way. Others take it to the next level and say that we won't get promoted based on 2 poor performances, whilst conveniently forgetting what has got us up to 3rd and only 1 point off the top previous to the past 2 games. And that's what negativity is. It's ridiculous.

Happy Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Explain these to me. Precisely my point. Wasyl at RB, and not starting Knockaert two criminal decisions.
BigSmudge Posted 8 December 2013 Author Posted 8 December 2013 Wasyl at RB, and not starting Knockaert two criminal decisions. I think Wasyl had been exceptional in RB up until yesterday admittedly, according to NP it's a tactical decision, if he doesn't want to play Knockaert he doesn't have to, and besides, he got a half yesterday anyway so your point is invalid.

Wasyl was poor at Wednesday as well so your point is invalid. Knockaert is our best f**king player not starting him is criminal.

If you had read my post properly you would see that I actually said that Wasyl was poor against Wednesday. As for Knockaert, I agree he may be our best, most influential player, but if he doesn't fit the game plan he doesn't fit, stop whining.

Perhaps you can post up 'Stans Guide to Questioning Things The Correct Way On Foxes Talk' guide for everyone to follow. Hey, 'the mods could make it a sticky'…or whatever the young persons street lingo is for such a thing.
LCFC FOX Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Annoys me more when I see more negative threads about being negative than people being negative about the team
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 Knocky wasn't fully fit after taking a hefty knock against Wednesday

Hey, 'the mods could make it a sticky'…or whatever the young persons street lingo is for such a thing. So there's actually nothing productive to ANY of your posts. Did that post make you feel better about yourself? Good to get that off your back? Here's a tip - try not to write off our season based on 2 bad results. Try to take in the whole picture yeah, i.e. the whole season?
Monsell1976 Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I know this may have been mentioned already, but why is their such a large amount of negativity/animosity towards the team and players recently? Whilst I do agree that the result and performance yesterday was substandard, we have to look at the big picture instead of whining on about small errors and stop looking for scapegoats, so come on guys, liven up a little; third in the league and I'm happy. It's not being negative, as for the most part this forum has been positive this season, with good reason, as not a lot has gone wrong. But I for one will voice my discontent at the level of performance over the last two games. During the good start certain players have not reached their usual standards and have been poor, and whilst collecting good results, they have got away with it, but when the results, and more so for me, the performance isn't good, they deserve to be criticised. What else do you do live in a bubble, and accept the fact our team has failed to turn up for two games, and lets here it, we are 3 rd in the league. That level of performance, and lack of fight isn't acceptable wether you are bottom or top of the league, so fans who have spent their money to be let down by these privileged people, have every right to have a moan, without people making threads to slate them. What will the people that are willing to tolerate that sort of performance do, keep saying it's ok we are 3rd, oh 4 th, oh 5th, most of us are concerned, as these last two performances has a lot of last season about them, as we know this team and management can royally **** it up from good positions. All this said I am guessing every city fan is hoping we are better than that this season, and these terrible performances are a short blip, as a crisis in confidence isn't an acceptable two seasons in a row.
XLM Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 De Laet will probably be back against Burnley so we can finally have some pace down that right side. By now Pearson has probably realised that Nugent isn't doing a job, but given that Burnley are a former club, I'd say he'll play him anyway. Knockaert should be fully fit and will hopefully start. Point being, i'd rather have this blip now before a very important Christmas period, which could determine the success of this season. Chins up i'd say.
Leicesterpool Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'd actually take some positives out of yesterday... we know we're not to start with that starting 11 again! Nigel made a minor mistake so lets just move on!
Mack Posted 8 December 2013 Posted 8 December 2013 I'm keeping quiet. The last two games could have just been a blip and you are right to say we are still 3rd etc. However last season we went on a run of horrific poor form and this could also be the beginning of a similar spell. So rather than slag them off or back them I'll wait until after next week's games to pass judgement. For me anything less than 4 points will be bad news. oh and I couldn't give a tinker's cuss for the city game midweek.
