Our wonderful fans.

Setting in L1 as I have done for the past few years now, it occurred to me just how good our fans are.

Take Reading, for instance, our minutes applause for the owners really made me stand back and think 'how many other clubs would do something like this?' Not many is the answer.

Our ability to spontaneously spawn songs is in my opinion, fantastic. The chorus' of 'who's that twat with the squirell on his head' and 'we want our squirell back' really got me; the reading fans looked at us gone out.

Just to conclude, it's just amazing how fantastic our fans are of this football club, through thick and thin we support our lads regardless of what's going on and that is why I love this football club.

Also, let's enjoy being top! Get a few beers in and as a final message from me; enjoy yourselves leicester city fans, you deserve it.

I've said it before - yes we can moan about our atmosphere which is poor at times but I genuinely don't think I've been to an away game and thought that the home fans were decent. Our home support is very good compared to most others.

Agreed sir, atmosphere is questionable at times but who's isn't?

Can't believe people would rather sing We love You than Hark Now Hear

This is why we shouldn't be patting ourselves on the back too much.

Yes, a bit of half-decent terrace wit for once nowadays is nice and it's good a couple of original songs are taking off, but until we're emulating (not copying) the likes of Leeds, Man United, Man City, Newcastle fans in terms of range of songs and numbers singing I don't think we can really call ourselves "wonderful" fans.

We do have great fans, like anything there is room for improvement noisewise, but I generally don't get involved in the bad atmosphere threads, because I don't think it is that bad.

This is what I don't get, why is it a competition, why does it matter what we sing as long as we are singing something, why doesn't everyone just get involved in every chant regardless, and if you want to sing Hark now hear, then start it.

Fair enough, but then I don't understand why people don't join in, there was a small group in L1 (I think) trying to get L C F C, going, they were at it for about 5 minutes and nobody joined in, at least with Hark now hear, there is the excuse that people don't know the words, but that was just like people didn't want to join in that chant.

We are good fans, but we could still improve a lot, and I think this division over which chants are "cool" or cringeworthy, doesn't help.

Well this is it. Its pure laziness for the vast majority. Laziness in not wanting to learn words to the classic songs, and a laziness in not wanting to sing at all. It winds me up though L has improved slightly this season compared to last.

I agree, Birmingham being particularly woeful, but I have to admit that the noise coming from the Forest end on the last day of last season was insane. Really impressive, until you compare it to us at home to Watford a few weeks later.

Our home atmosphere is very good. It's not perfect, but it would be unrealistic to expect it to be like the aforementioned Watford game every week.
