Just spotted this in the Middlesborough press......

The Spaniard was muscled aside as David Nugent took the ball out of play before cutting it back for the opener then he was penalised for the free-kick that led to the killer second.

“For the first when the whistle went I was sure he would give a goal kick because I clearly saw the ball was out,†he said.

Which whistle was this? Or was it the scary voice that tells him to torch his neighbours shed?

“For the first when the whistle went I was sure he would give a goal kick because I clearly saw the ball was out,†he said.

“And for the second I thought it was the wrong decision.

"If it had been the opposite way it would not have been a free-kick.

“It felt like everything went their way.

"When that happens you have to try to move on but it was very frustrating for us.

“We had played well but did not take our chances and then two big decisions go against us.â€

Again, having looked at the incident in real time, the slower replay and the paused screenshots (as well as my view in SK4) I'm still of the opinion it didn't go out and Nugent did very well. It has to be an opinion because no one can be 100% certain either way without a perfect byline view. To be honest, looking on the 'Boro forum this morning there are a few on there who agree and one of their fans started a thread with a picture similar to mine as well.

In terms of the second foul, what is he on about? The ball is flying out, he looks behind him to see Vardy running, looks forward, looks back at Vardy moves across and shoves him in the side/upper arm with his forearm/elbow. Vardy goes flying into the concrete and advertising hoardings as a result. His foul was cowardly, naive and extremely dangerous.

He can dispute the first, but the second?? Have a laugh Ayala!!

Another manager refusing to acknowledge facts. In real time there is no chance anybody could say for definite whether or not the ball was out. And I know I have said it before but he should be asking why his defenders had already given up on chasing the ball before the whistle had gone.

Their manager can complain about the decision but it was he who picked Jutkiewicz, who was appalling, and then replaced him with Kamara, who was even worse, so he needs to look at himself and his decisions as well.

75% success isn't too shabby.

This is the thing it's not too bad but because we are getting so many and he's now missed 3, our fans and even Nugent himself are getting nervous every time he steps up to take one. Goalies will know to put the pressure on him as well. I think he could work a lot harder at getting the penalties in the corners with a crisper strike. He's quite casual in his run up and places his attempts, which is fine if the goalie goes the wrong way or he's got the ball just out of reach but even out of the ones he's scored there have been several the goalie has been very close to.

There's definite room for improvement, it's a shame Andy King isn't guaranteed to start games any more as i've watched him take penalties in warm up's before and his technique is everything you want.

Grats on the win, been away at the weekend so I've just been able to get on.

Just one of those games that could of been what if!

Ayala and Williams were terrible, Williams just doesn't care anymore. Hope Swansea sign him.

Good luck on the rest of the season guys, I'm sure you'll go up.
