Player Ratings vs Yeovil

Recommended Posts

6 all round, apart from the two fullbacks who get a 7. Kasper an 8. I thought Danny drinkwater was our worst player that started. Gave the ball away so many times. Nothing came off for him but had a good last 10 minutes. Onwards and upwards starting Saturday.

Kasper - 10 - The only man on the park with a bit of drive and passion to win

De Laet - 4 - In dreamworld, poor distribution and crossing, trotting about like we were 3-0 up

Wes - 6 - Pretty solid but it's games like this he needs to be screaming at players to wake-up

Wasyl - 7 - An absolute rock. No idea why they subbed him instead of De Laet.

Schlupp - 6 - Time to bring Konchesky back for the run in, Jeff's not a left back, sorry.

Drinkwater - 3 - Utterly crap passing, no co-ordination with James, real off day.

James - 5 - Looked tired in the 2nd half but passed better than Drinky

Mahrez - 4 - Bad day at the office, no end product

Knockaert - 5 - In and out of the game, closed down by their 15 defenders.

Nugent - 5 - Another one who looks tired. GTF or Phillips might be worth a go for a game or two.

Vardy - 6 - Clearly holding back because of the 9 yellows, got no service at all.

SUBS - Dyer - 7 - Our best attacking threat, their right back shit himself at one point.

Wood - 3 - Doesn't win headers/flicks, no mobility or pace, control is piss-poor

Phillips - 5 - Had a decent chance that he fluffed but afflicted by the same lack of service as Vardy

MOTM for me thought he put in a great shift attacking and defensive

Schmeichel - 8 (extra point for his goal that wasn't)
De Laet - 7 (fairly solid without setting the world alight)
Wasilewski - 7 (solid as usual)

Morgan - 8 (Solid as per)
Schlupp - 8 (MOTM, how people can say we need to bring back Konch amazes me. He;s been the most consistent player for the last 5/6 games)
Mahrez - 4 (Poor, greedy, though I don't blame him for the shot he missed 1st half, incredibly difficult ball to hit well)
Drinkwater - 4 (Worst game in a Leicester shirt)
James - 3 (Even worse than DD, wouldn't take responsibility for the ball and misplaced countless passes)
Knockaert - 7 (Really took hold of the 2nd half. You can see the desire in him, he does not want a repeat of last season)
Vardy - 5 (Woeful attempt first half, played out of the game by the Yoevil defenders)
Nugent - 5 (Again, played out of the game completely by their defenders)

Looking at my ratings, its clear to me that Yeovil's tactics were flawless against us. Completely stopped us playing through midfield and won headers from long balls all day long.

Kasper - 8 MOTM

De Laet - 4 Headless, careless.

Morgan - 6 Kept Miller out of the game for most part, well done.

Wasil - 5 Is keeping the ball on the ground too much to ask for?

Schlupp - 6

Knockaert - 5

Drinkwater - 4

James - 4

Mahrez - 3 Ineffective against solid tough-tackling sides. Was too selfish today, as well. Never got into the game.

Nugent - ? Anyone seen him tonight?

Vardy - 4 Too wasteful in front of goal, but then again, didn't have a lot of chances.

All in all, our entire midfield looked very knackered tonight.

What do you expect of Nugent if we keep lumping the ball up to him against two 6 ft + defenders
