Are you the same Daib0 who predicted Burnley to finish this season 24th and rock bottom on "Royals Rendezvous"? Forest 2nd?!!!!!!!!!

How many different forums are you signed up to daib0 mate?

lost count, between 40 & 50 I think. The thing is, I've been the sort of unofficial 'outreach officer' for RR, we've always tried to open our arms out to other fans and not have our heads-in-the-sand ,,,

Please will you predict Burnley to finish 20th in the PL next season if we do go up? :)

two or three seasons back I actually won our main prediction game, but it's all gone horribly wrong this season!

to be fair to him lots of people had Burnley to finish in the bottom half

Yes, but come on!!!! 24th when there are teams like Barnsley, Yeovil and Donny in the division. :)

Wouldn't worry mate, I doubt our fans would start threads considering relegation with bookmaker's odds in the title :)

to be dead honest I can't remember why I put Burnley so low, just popped a look again at last season's table and they finished 11th, but only 7 points off last relegation place. But all fans are going to defend their team, and rightly so, so whoever we put at/near bottom won't be pleased. I admit I got that well wrong, but at least Burnley's the Longside forum members ain't given me much stick!!

Yes, we finished 11th last season and 7 points off the relegation spot.

But...we only finished 6 points off a play-off spot, 62 points to Leicester's 68:)

After selling Austin, a realistic prediction for us would have been somewhere between 15th and 18th.

Apart from our one PL season in 2009/2010, Burnley have been in the second tier for 13 seasons since promotion in 2000.

Only once (in 2003/2004 when we were 19th) have we finished in the bottom six.

I think Barnsley have only finished once OUT of the bottom six in about 10 seasons. :)

One of my mates is a massive Reading fan, and I feel quite bad for him really. There never seems to be that EDGE to following football that we have, as they don't really have rivalry with anyone and there's not centuries of amazing players and prestigious moments to look back on. That said, they're not an offensive club, they're just there, a little bit irrelevant. But when you're at the Madejski you can't help but feel pissed off. Maybe that's cause we never do well there.

I can't get my head around the Waitrose sponsorship, or the choice of location for the current stadium (other than financial), other than that I can't help but admire the recent achievements and feel a sense of foreboding when it comes to us in the top-flight next year. You guys know how hard it can be and how much it comes down to money. We both share a sense of grit and determination and it should be a good game on Monday, I'll be there.

Hi daibo mate. What's the consensus after last night then? It was a pretty poor game in all honesty and even though both teams had chances to win, I'd say a draw was just about a fair result. Referee was poor too. You guys should have had a penalty and I guess we'd be equally raging if the shoe was on the other foot and one of your players handballed like Hammond did.
