stripeyfox Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Splatoon is awesome, anyone with a Wii U must get it. That is all! Is Splatoon primarily a multiplayer game? I downloaded the extra tracks for Mario Kart 8 for the kids yesterday. Now they have a total of 48 tracks to choose from including "Baby Park" from N64 or Gamecube (can't remember which one). Had a four player blast last night with the mrs and the kids. MK may be crushingly unfair at times in the way but it sure is a good leveller!

It seems like a solid, but very colorful 2D platformer. If you go OCD and want to collect everything, it is apparentlig pretty challenging. The coop can be frustrating because you can throw each other around. If you really enjoy the coop in the New Super Mario Bros games, then this game will be right up your alley.

The 2D one was okay, but frustrating at times. I like the idea of having loads of things to collect, so I'll probably pick this one up. Thanks for the brief review!

stripeyfox Posted 12 October 2015 Posted 12 October 2015 Kids finally beat me into submission and brought Spaltoon. What a great game! True Nintendo style gameplay. My son plays online (safely, as there is no "chat") in quick 2 minute games where he works as a team to paint an arena one colour whilst the other team attempts to paint it another colour. Biggest percentage of paint cover wins! Simple, but addictive gameplay!
