broughtonblue Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Wasn't any trouble at all. Hudders fans ran on the pitch at the end, started giving it the big un at our end. Bunch of our fans just spilled out on the pitch and the hudders fans legged it. Then our lot just stayed on the pitch for a while singing. Only thing that did happen was they wouldnt let the team back out afterwards for safety reasons, because everybody probably would have been straight back on the pitch Not sure if it's because I'm old but, really can't see what the big deal is about going on the pitch, looking at 'promised lands' video a few posts down, a few hundred city fans got as far as the goal posts (wow). This then stopped the team coming back out to applaud the fans, if they had stayed in the stand they could still have celebrated and had the players with them too.

They were the same group to our right who started there pitch invasion Yeah, they came up to me in the Pub, was with about 4 or 5 of my mates, and one of them just said 'do you want some after the game to us'. Couldn't help but laugh to be honest, all the funnier when they ran away after the first group of Leicester fans got on the pitch.
Kitchandro Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The top half seemed to be singing throughout but the bottom half was quite quiet. Everyone was enjoying themselves though, a very good day out. Loved the pitch invasion and singing on the pitch afterwards. Huddersfield is a nice place and their home support was far better than most home supports IMO.

I'm not sure what the big deal is with the players coming out and us clapping them for a second time. There's no 'point' in pitch invasions, it's just part of the fun, party atmosphere. It was enjoyable, and much like most enjoyable things about going to the football, it was silly. But who cares. When you've had a bit to drink it adds to the fun.

It seems your brigade of sit/ stand and clap hold most of us back in enjoying ourselves in a slightly non PC way! Great day out today and topped off a brilliant season. Up the city
