GLC Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Listening to the game on the radio earlier and I have to say, our away support is incredible! You've been amazing all season and you all deserve a round of applause, we have the best fans in the championship by far!

Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 The only annoying thing is, where do these thousands of standers and singer go at home games? In the FA when we took 8000 to Forest, everyone was stood up and everyone sung, yet at our next home game we had the usual 500 or so in the usual places stood up. We have the fans to do it at home, we just need to change the mentality of our home support to be more like our away support!
Guest Bilo Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Watching the stream with no commentary was an eye opener, those who went were deafening all game. Superb support.

MrSpaM Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Was great in our end today, singing from start to finish, and the pitch invasion at the end was all done in good spirit. We easily have the best away following in the league
Bert Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 If you can't muster a good end on a day like today, questions have to be asked.
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Wednesday and Leeds are both better away from home than us. Debateable. They both aren't what they were. How many did Wed bring to us? Not many
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Debateable. They both aren't what they were. How many did Wed bring to us? Not manyGood point LarryI think it's safe to say that THIS season Leicester have been the best away following in the league
Blanesta Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 What happened at the end? Was it trouble as well as a pitch invasion? Or was it just fans trying to get on the pitch?
StanSP Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Can't speak highly enough of our travelling fans. Without fail they always make a sound. Without fail they're always making a noise even if we're losing. Hope it continues next season and Premier League clubs see what we're made of.
AndWhat? Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Our ends have improved greatly in the last 10 years. Here's hoping we carry on improving. Proper lad mentality growing in our away ends and I ****ing love it.
MrSpaM Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 What happened at the end? Was it trouble as well as a pitch invasion? Or was it just fans trying to get on the pitch? Wasn't any trouble at all. Hudders fans ran on the pitch at the end, started giving it the big un at our end. Bunch of our fans just spilled out on the pitch and the hudders fans legged it. Then our lot just stayed on the pitch for a while singing. Only thing that did happen was they wouldnt let the team back out afterwards for safety reasons, because everybody probably would have been straight back on the pitch

itsblueupnorth Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Good point Larry I think it's safe to say that THIS season Leicester have been the best away following in the league if you're talking numbers I think you'll find that with about 6 away games to go we were ranked 5th behind Leeds Florist Wednesday and the Shaggers :-(
Larry_LCFC Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 They were actually applauding us when we started our invasion and they scarpered like we were all carrying guns hahaha That's how I understood it aswell. They were cheering us and then shat themselves

There was that one twat giving it large however when they first went on the pitch, I noticed he wasn't around when we broke through.
Vlad the Fox Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 You can't blame them for running though, they weren't looking for trouble and probably weren't sure what our intensions were. I'm glad it became quite clear quickly it was good natured.
Bourne Blue& White Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 One of the Great away days today.Glad I was there.
Voll Blau Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Debateable. They both aren't what they were. How many did Wed bring to us? Not many Not all about numbers for me, plus Wednesday had us on a Friday night this season. Vocally both are always more consistent than us with a better range of original songs. that said, at our loudest and best we can be better than both. Like I say, it's about consistency for me though.
promised land Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Wednesday and Leeds are both better away from home than us. Agree totally, two clubs that are bigger than us and both sleeping giants. But we have very good away support, far better than other clubs our size.
itsblueupnorth Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 With The Wigan, Reading, Bolton and Huddersfield games to go we've gone above the sheep into 4th place
Gingerballs Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 Any have the mid fortune to encounter the Huddersfield youth hooligans in the Yorkshire rose giving it large to everyone . They were the same group to our right who started there pitch invasion
promised land Posted 26 April 2014 Posted 26 April 2014 What happened at the end? Was it trouble as well as a pitch invasion? Or was it just fans trying to get on the pitch?I did post a YouTube clip in the post match thread, the home fans to our right were over the advertising hoarding when into the three minutes added on, the ref saw this and blew and ran like Usain Bolt to the tunnel as they ran onto the pitch. We were held back by two lines of plod and stewards, but huge weight in numbers seemed to break the lines and a lot of City fans got onto the pitch, goal line, a bit further at best. The Udders saw this and ran in the opposite direction while our fans carried on singing and celebrating, some Udders came back and applauded by which time they had a line of hi viz jackets between the two sets of fans. I did see one plod whacking fans with his truncheon, his face said it all as he was giving it some. Ones that seemed to break the barrier just got pushed back into our part. That was my view of it.
