I once rescued a jock from drowning in one , he was face down.. while upstream blokes were still peeing .. that's class.

They even have a special word for it, 'Zapoi' - drinking non-stop til you're half dead. I was in Crimea a couple of summers ago and and met a couple of friendly Russians. I'd have a few beers every night and for the first couple of evenings they didn't drink anything which was very surprising. Then, wham, on the third night they started the 'zapoi' at about 6pm and didn't stop. When I tried to leave the table to go back to my hotel at 2am they phsyically blocked me from leaving, I had to scramble American football-style to get away from them. I didn't see them again for two days.
