FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 We've played 4-4-2 pretty much all season, but in the prem will Nigel change that, do you think we will play 5 at the back? Will we play 1 or 2 upfront? What formation do you think we'll play for most of next season or do you think he will change regularly.
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 4-2-3-1 I think Drinky and james Albrighton Knocky (AMC) Mahrez Vardy
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Although we ground out some results early this season I hope we don't use 5-3-2/3-5-2

lgfualol Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Would Pearson ever play knocky as CAM. I remember everyone saying he should last season but I dont think we ever saw it.
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Would Pearson ever play knocky as CAM. I remember everyone saying he should last season but I dont think we ever saw it.I really feel that's how we'd get the best out of him. Think he'll struggle as a winger in the prem. Lacks the pace to beat a full back and think defenders will be more wise to his trickery
FOXES-BROWNBOY Posted 25 May 2014 Author Posted 25 May 2014 Playing a top 4 team away do you not think we will play 5-4-1 or 5-3-2?
foxfanazer Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Possibly yes but the 5-3-2 really is ugly. We will have to pick.up some ugly points though
allen10 Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 It depends very much on the opposition, but I would love us to play 2 up top, too many teams are scared to play 2 strikers against good opposition in the PL. I think for the majority of home games, we'll play 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 / 4-1-2-1-2 Away, we'll probably stick to the same formation for the "bottom half teams" then probably switch to 4-2-3-1 for the "top teams".
the_enlightened_one Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 HOME: Top half team - 4-1-4-1 using a holding midfielder, change to formation below if we absolutely need a win Bottom half team - 4-4-2 same as this season, change to the formation above if we are holding on for dear life AWAY: Top half team - 4-2-3-1 using two deep lying midfielders, change to 4-1-3-2 if we need a result Bottom half team - Depends entirely on the importance of the fixture and situation regarding fixtures in or around. If we need to win 4-4-2, or we could park a bus

allen10 Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Or we could adopt Chelsea's formation against the top teams and park the proverbial bus:
Sir Shep Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 In our min league between places 8-20 I'm pretty sure we will be fine playing as we have been. It's what Nige does when we play the big clubs I'm curious about so I'd guess we'd be playing 3 centre backs and one up front.
shade Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 balls to the wall 442 for every game, sometimes even 4312!
MooseBreath Posted 25 May 2014 Posted 25 May 2014 Hope we stick with our winning championship formation. I don't want to see us messing around with holding midfielders trying to draw games. Let's give it a proper go and try to win games on our own terms playing our well-proven best formation.
