Walshy5 Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 Does it come down to Goal difference 1st or results against eachother? Not sure.

lc4lcfc Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 I was asked this earlier. Hypothetically (I know it's unlikely) each team finished on 4 points with a 1-0 win and loss and a 1-1 draw what happens?

I think they would actually draw lots to see who goes through as im not sure if it was the last world cup or the one before, but we nearly had 3 teams in a world cup group with exactly the same stats.
Amin Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 I think it was Turkey and Czech Republic that had a situation like this back in Euro 2008. They would have decided it in a penalty shootout but Nihat scored a last minute winner to prevent it. What a game that was.
Manwell Pablo Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 Pretty sure they draw lots. They should play a decider I think.
ScouseFox Posted 15 June 2014 Posted 15 June 2014 Should just have a shootout. Unless it's a three way tie then that won't work.
