Xen Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Couldn't we afford to release him from his contract? By loaning him out for the last two seasons of his contract, that's essentially what we have done. It was either pay him 2 years wages (or some agreed figure close to that) to release him immediately, or loan him out for the remainder of his contract and let Preston pay some of his wages instead of us. Slightly cheaper this way for us.
