Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Clearly Burnley were the best team in the Championship last year, because they weren't the market leaders, like us.
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 128 days at the top more then any side, Chelsea were next on 64. Proves Arsenal were unlucky with injuries in the latter half of the season. Arsenal would of won it untill half their squad got injured. Half their squad gets injured every single year. The idea that after god knows how many seasons in succession of being obliterated by injuries is somehow 'unlucky' is about as stupid as saying the team who finished 4th were the best team in the league because you like them.
Guest Col city fan Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 £10 million for Debuchey? 28 mill for Lallana?
Grandad. Posted 8 July 2014 Author Posted 8 July 2014 28 mill for Lallana? I was referring to that as good business, thanks Col. And I know you're quite the simpleton, I've been reading your posts in the Hodgson Out? thread, we actually paid £25 million for Adam Lallana, don't make numbers up to make and try and mock me. That won't work.
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 £10 million for Debuchey? Bargain for me that, showed just what he can do in the French side when given license to go forward. Pardew killed his game not letting him cross his own half. If Arsenal can shift out Sagna and replace him with a younger cheaper Debuchy they will have done well.

Guest Col city fan Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Makes me wonder exactly where Newcastle are going and what they are doing? They simply sell their best players? The Geordies must very pissed off.
Guest MattP Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Makes me wonder exactly where Newcastle are going and what they are doing? They simply sell their best players? The Geordies must very pissed off. They are. Ashley isn't interested in winning things, grab as much cash as possible and just use the clubs position in the top flight as the front for his company. Sports direct logos everywhere and he doesnt even have to pay for the priveledge of advertising. We might be about to undergo something similar with King Power for all we know. That's probably the future of the Premier League anyway, football clubs just being glorified advertisements for worldwide companies.
MC Prussian Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Makes me wonder exactly where Newcastle are going and what they are doing? They simply sell their best players? The Geordies must very pissed off. It didn't work out for Debuchy at Newcastle and it didn't work out for Cabaye. Maybe, just maybe the Geordies have realized that too many foreigners in a team kill the team and that they need to open up more space on the roster for homegrown talent. They could've fielded a complete French starting XI in the last two seasons, imagine. Well, close.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 How did it not work for Cabaye? He consistently was their best player for his tenure there.
MC Prussian Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 How did it not work for Cabaye? He consistently was their best player for his tenure there. He was rather successful on the pitch and one of the best out of a bad bunch, but it makes you wonder whether he felt comfortable in the Northeast at all. Surely if he had wanted to achieve something with the club, he would've stayed.

Guest Col city fan Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Sagna's already moved to Man City Couple of weeks ago?

Surely if he had wanted to achieve something with the club, he would've stayed. I thought you were implying he wasn't much on the pitch for them, but yeah I'd agree. I think after the season where they almost broke top 4 he was hoping they would be able to establish themselves at the top half rather than get into a relegation battle . I don't think he left strictly for the money, was more a chance to play with a team capable of doing wonders/
Hugo Sanchez Posted 8 July 2014 Posted 8 July 2014 Can I just point out that grandad on the cheap football tread, brought a MAN UTD and CHELSEA shirt. Big Liverpool fan this joker is ...
Grandad. Posted 8 July 2014 Author Posted 8 July 2014 Can I just point out that grandad on the cheap football tread, brought a MAN UTD and CHELSEA shirt. Big Liverpool fan this joker is ... Hahaha! I would also like to point out that I have never brought a Man United shirt or a Chelsea shirt. You keep turning your little immature life around on me, funny thing is people on here actually know me, you? You're just someone who gives it the big time over the Internet and doesn't turn up to events and pays his debts.
