Grandad. Posted 7 July 2014 Author Posted 7 July 2014 fair. Who is this Markovic guy. I feel like I should know about him, or at least something about him. Is he worth 25m? I said above mate, I know nothing about him, can't ever remember seeing him play.
Grandad. Posted 7 July 2014 Author Posted 7 July 2014 Definitely agree MattP, Southampton players going for 25 million + !!! You'd had thought they actually won something last season. Liverpool always spend money stupidly and always end up flops. I don't think they can attract the world class players like City, Utd, Chelsea and Arsenal can. Troll alert. Granted, City, Chelsea and Man United can attract world class players. Arsenal sell their 'world class' players, a massive difference.
AKCJ Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 I have faith in Rodgers mate, I really do. I honestly think he has brought in players because he thinks they will add to our current squad, need a left back desperately. We tried a last ditch attempt to sign Ashley Cole, he wanted a £5 million signing on fee. Crazy! I don't blame you, I would in your position. But 65m on those 3 is bonkers, none have done enough to command those fees IMO. I think you needed to replace Suarez more than to just fill holes. I don't see Sturridge being any good if you can't sign someone who will support him because, as we've seen, he's shit on his own.
AKCJ Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Troll alert. Granted, City, Chelsea and Man United can attract world class players. Arsenal sell their 'world class' players, a massive difference. Mate, you're selling Suarez
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Troll alert. Granted, City, Chelsea and Man United can attract world class players. Arsenal sell their 'world class' players, a massive difference. Not trolling or fishing. Could of Liverpool got Mesut Ozil last season ? No chance pal. Mate, you're selling Suarez And sold torres ...
Grandad. Posted 7 July 2014 Author Posted 7 July 2014 Mate, you're selling Suarez Yeah, true. We're selling him for a massive fee. Unlike Arsenal who sell players because they can't achieve anything with them. Van Persie, Fabregas, Song, Sagna, Nasri and Clichey.. All gone on to bigger and better things. Not trolling or fishing. Could of Liverpool got Mesut Ozil last season ? No chance pal. No, you're right we couldn't. Not a chance. We didn't have the money to spend on a player like Ozil, look at us last season we signing Aspas Now? Well I don't know. I wouldn't be boasting about Ozil personally, maybe next season use him as an example but not right now. Especially when you're questioning our signings for £25 million, Ozil hasn't looked a £42 million football has he?
ScouseFox Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 it's exactly like spurs last year. they sold their best player and used the money to buy 5 or 6 quite good players but none of whom massively improved what they already have. liverpool are looking on doing the same here, when what they need to do is go out and buy another world class player to fill the suarez hole. they could buy 5 players but they'd still only be able to play one of them at a time and nothing they've bought so far is even on the same planet as suarez. sanchez would've been ideal. as for liverpool/arsenal world class players, arsenal have signed ozil and that's it in the past 8 or so years, and he went there over liverpool due to the fee and champions league football. right now between the two clubs it's much of a muchness, which is why it's confusing me so much that sanchez feels so strongly one way or the other.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Because it's world class manager Arsene Wenger or the former Watford Manager Brendan Rodgers and plus Arsenal are a bigger club In the last twenty years and their stadium holds a shite load more and they have better world class players Why would you wanna go and play in a shite stadium with Jordan Henderson and Jon Flanagan ?! He's not daft, now they have got rid of their only world class player. I'm Afraid I've got some BAD NEWS FOR YA ... They will struggle next season.
Guest MattP Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Liverpool simply have to buy a top class striker assuming Suarez goes. I wouldn't be certain of Sturridge being able to deliver the same again without him despite his form at the start of last season.
Grandad. Posted 7 July 2014 Author Posted 7 July 2014 To be a bigger club you have to have won the biggest competition possible, that you haven't in the last 20 years.. Liverpool have. I don't need to argue about this one, everyone on this forum knows Liverpool are a bigger club than Arsenal, simple as that. When you compare players, I could easily refer to Jenkinson, Gibbs, Gnabry, Bendtner, Park and co.. Don't be naive mate.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 We have the won the Premiership 3 times in the last 20 years though ?? Liverpool play at home in front of less people then Sunderland some weeks. You haven't got a Aaron Ramsey or a Cazorla or a Ozil. That's what Liverpool are missing pal.

You haven't got a Aaron Ramsey or a Cazorla or a Ozil. That's what Liverpool are missing pal. We? You're referring to Arsenal as "we"? You write all this drivel to Roo about Australians and Americans not being as passionate as Europeans, yet you refer to Arsenal as we.. "How many Leicester game have you been too ? Honestly, I have to read your comments on Leicester games since 2007, how many games have you witnessed in person ? I've follow Leicester my whole life up and down this country. Going to watch Taylor Basset, Levein, Kelly, Worthington, Allen Megson, Holloway Sousa and Sven pile of turds but I never stop going because I love Leicester. Probably like you love a Aussie rule football team, you don't have that love for a football team like a European or a South American because your local Soccer team been around 5 years. You notice you bang on about your national side and Tim god cahill and how you went to a world cup. Here's some truth for ya mate. I don't give two shits about England because I'm a Leicester fan and I follow Leicester. You know I can't really get excited about supporting the likes of Gerrard and Rooney because they're not Drinkwater and Vardy ... but because you haven't got a proper club to support you cheer your no mark national team on and go on about the big star's like Cahill like we should be impressed. I'd take Bolton away over England winning the World cup anyday. I know for a fact you'd take getting out the group at the 2006 world cup has your greatest footballing memory and that's my point people ... They're all Plastics !!!" Incredible.

At the moment, Arsenal are likely to be more attractive to foreign players - their manager is well known, they produced some class players over the past years, and they are based in a wonderful new stadium in classy north London. Win win win.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 No that was mistake, I meant we, as I was defending them Albert. I have a soft spot for Arsenal but I don't pay to go watch them every week do I ?
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Agree with whoever said they're doing exactly what Spurs did last season. Selling their only world class player and buying a load of decent players, some of which will do well and some of which won't, but none that will carry the team like Suarez did and there's absolutely no chance they will replicate what they did last season. As for winning the league, with Champions League football to contend with, United being stronger and a few other factors I think Liverpool will struggle to be top 5.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Bolton away over winning the World Cup Fvcking hell Watching England on tv win the world cup means fook all to me mate. I can't bring myself to support the likes of Rooney and Gerrard.

I have a soft spot for Arsenal but I don't pay to go watch them every week do I ? You referred to them as we through the majority of last season, well until Arsenal blown their lead at the top of the table. I doubt you pay to go and watch Leicester every week anyway, especially how quick you were to come in here and tell us how good Ramsey was.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Ramsey got injured last season but was having a amazing season before that and came back got motm and scored the winner in a cup final ??? Arsenal were top for the most day's last season, so technically were the best team that season.
ScouseFox Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Ramsey got injured last season but was having a amazing season before that and came back got motm and scored the winner in a cup final ??? Arsenal were top for the most day's last season, so technically were the best team that season. worst logic ever

Difference is that Liverpool have at least brought in tried and trusted Prem players, Lambert and Lallana may have been over priced, and Lovren too, but they know exactly what they are getting, Spurs bought a load of players with zero prem experience and they didn't adapt. They also signed them before deciding to sell Suarez, the Suarez money will go to replacing him, the others will have been paid for out of the transfer budget pre Suarez.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Are you going to leave Southampton with anyone?
AKCJ Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Bolton away over winning the World Cup Fvcking hell Meaning he'd rather Leicester won the league (Bolton away) than England win the World Cup.
ScouseFox Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Meaning he'd rather Leicester won the league (Bolton away) than England win the World Cup. still laughable
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 7 July 2014 Posted 7 July 2014 Difference is that Liverpool have at least brought in tried and trusted Prem players, Lambert and Lallana may have been over priced, and Lovren too, but they know exactly what they are getting, Spurs bought a load of players with zero prem experience and they didn't adapt. If they replace Suarez with a player that can carry them to the level he did last season then I'll change my tune, but who, in reality, is or will be available to Liverpool who can do this? I can't think of anyone. Sanchez was the closest they were going to get and he doesn't fancy it. They'll struggle. Lambert and Lallana are decent players but they won't win you the league without Suarez.
