Corky Posted 13 July 2014 Posted 13 July 2014 I think we are going to regret giving so many average players new 3 and 4 year deals. I think the owners have got stars in their eyes and are blind to reality. Is King Billy still going to finish above us with Forest?

You want to come back yet again before a ball is kicked and transfer business is complete and start again. Sadly one season you may be right but again it won't be this season. Hopefully like seenfvckall you will be gone before Xmas so none of us have to waste seasons greetings on a waste of a good skin.
MooseBreath Posted 14 July 2014 Posted 14 July 2014 Surprised jeffo signed on. Thought he had a few years still to run on his sventract?

They turn out to be good for us in the future and are potentially sought after by other clubs. Extending their contracts strengthens our hold on them and improves their value. 2. Or they turn out to not be 'worth it' and we move them on, potentially at a bit of a loss This happens all the time. There's an unbelievable amount of average players in PL teams on mid-long contracts. We won't be on our own here! Also have fun finding any other young and promising players that'd be willing to sign 1 or 2 year deals with any other PL teams.

That's a fair point, I really am not sure how we will do next season in the Premiership. But there are things that are certain come what may. NP lacks tactical ability to change things for the better when we are losing or struggling in a game. Moore, Morgan, Jeff, Dickie De'L, Upon and Was will get murdered by Premiership forwards. I hope I'm wrong but come Dec, it will be like a wake on here.
LC/FC Posted 15 July 2014 Posted 15 July 2014 Last year's unbeaten run proves you wrong and that you're flogging a dead horse.

Middlesbrough away- 1-0 down, won 2-1 Birmingham home- 1-0 down, won 3-2 Ipswich away- 1-0 down, won 2-1 Watford home - 2-0 down, drew 2-2 Forest away- 2-1 down with 10 men, drew 2-2 Blackpool home- 1-0 down, won 3-1 Wigan away- behind twice, drew 2-2 No impact when we are struggling at all.

foxfanazer Posted 15 July 2014 Posted 15 July 2014 Didn't we have the best record after going a goal down in the Championship?Yeah but that goes against his argument so he just totally discounts that and just makes statements that have no facts to back them up. Funnily enough you didn't really hear much from him last season
