The Year Of The Fox Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 Barkley will be our next Gerrard, that's about all I could realistically predict. I'd be disappointed if Rooney is still playing in 2 years time
Vacamion Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 I'd be disappointed if Rooney is still playing in 2 years time I can't see him retiring to concentrate on his club career. Not when he has Bobby Charlton's scoring record in his sights. Given his performances in qualifying (if not at tournament level), I can see Woy sticking with him. How sad that Rooney could overtake Charlton, having failed to perform at tournaments.
Danno Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 Hart Chambers Stones Cahill Shaw Henderson Sterling Barkley Wilshere Oxlade Sturridge Don't like Wilshere but not sure who would take his place, maybe Lallana
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 I think Wilshere could actually have a very important part to play for England in this set of qualifiers. He'd have been much better suited to the role Roy tried to get Henderson to play at the Euros than Henderson himself. Just got to hope he can get 30+ league games under his belt this season.
Lionator Posted 1 August 2014 Posted 1 August 2014 Nobody wants him there but you can guarantee that if fit, Rooney will be there or thereabouts in 2018. All of this 'our only world class player' nonsense will continually be churned out.
