nice friendly bunch. All blue blood. Not all nice! Debating is good. Sarcasm should give you a ban. IMO

Great idea!

Helpful answers guys, real helpful.

I live in Scotland so...not gonna travel to Leicester every weekend.

Using google is being helpful.

I find it weird that people still don't embrace the power of that search engine. Just type in "Leicester vs Burnley live stream" and thousands of options come up.

Great idea!

Can't the links be posted without the www ? It would not be a link would it?

And on online radio why cannot RL have two set up? one for football one for rugby? Cost a couple of grand a month. They have the studios. They have one that is used for training purposes.

I do get a little irritated by posts/threads like this.

Aside from spouting total nonsense about things we know little of [football], some of us occasionally try to post things which we do know something about.

Football on telly is a subject that you wouldn't want to ask me about if, say, we were stuck in a lift.  I am and can be a tedious tit on the subject.

Streams come from broadcast telly from sky and their equivalents all over the world, not some magic pipe into the tv companies or the premier league hq that only a few have access to.

If it aint on telly somewhere, it wont be streamed.

ALL premier league games are on somewhere and so maybe some kind soul will stream it.

Most PL games are a stream of a stream.  This is because the PL changed the rules last december.

It has long been the case that no saturday 3pm kick offs can be broadcast on UK channels [argue amongst yourselves about S4c etc] when league or cup games are happening.  The argument is that it affects attendances.

European satellite broadcasters used to broadcast every PL game via satellite and these signals could be received with the right dish, box and subscription in the UK.

Last december the PL said they could only broadcast 1 3pm game, however they could stream via their websites the others. Hence most streams are streams of streams.  You're not going to get HD.

Pubs showing the games can show them if they have a legal subscription to say SkyItalia and the game we all want to see is the chosen live 3pm sat game.  Being Leicester, this is going to be a rarity.  The broadcasters all seem to pick the same "big" game.  The big gotcha for pubs is the PL logo.  They CANNOT publicly broadcast that, it is infringement of copyright.  That's why it appears every time there is an action replay.

If you want to know which games are on live have a look at http://liveonsat.com/LJS_FT_br_premier_ONLY.php this will show which channels a game is on.  If you hover over the channel it will tell you the satellite and frequency - that means it is on tv live.  It it says cable/dtt/other then it is streamed via the broadcasters website.

Streams depend on someone streaming the game.  Some will do it, as posters on here have when they streamed RL commentaries, just to be nice.  Others stream games as part of an advertising revenue thing.

All of this information is available in other threads posted by myself and others.  I post this info to show off but also because it might be of use to some people.  It is a little annoying when folk come along and cant or wont use search engines or the search facility on a forum.  None of us were born knowing this, we had to research it.

Yes, I was being sarcastic with my post "let me google that for you" but google is your friend in all things.  If you cant find it there then it doesn't exist..

Thanks for that. You have provided a lot more info in a short time than I could have found by googling live streams. I know exactley where to look and why streams are available. This is why people ask people. Hopefully next time someone googles the subject they find your post. Which would not be here if someone hadn't asked.
