Pearson slams 'negative' critics

“If you are talking about some games being won or lost on game-management, that does happen to be the case in a number of our games so far.

“Some of that may come down to experience and know-how. Our players are learning quickly, but it is up to us to turn our fortunes around, and we are capable of doing it.”

Pearson admits City have a lot of scope for improvement but is confident his players can regain their early-season form.

“My reflections on what has happened so far and how I continue to quantify what has happened so far, or what may happen, is based on what we are capable of ourselves,” he added.

“At the moment, we have a bit to do, but I do believe we have got the capacity to continue to get better.

“But, of course, when we are not winning games people find it a bit harder to buy.

“That is what I believe and we believe. We have to go out there and do it.”

All of the above is what gives me cause for optimism, he's admitting mistakes have been made and I think over the next 3/4 games we'll start to see an improvement. Mistakes are bound to be made, pretty much everybody in the club is new to the Prem. We've also proved we're capable of improving and learning from previous errors.

To be fair to you, that is probably as close as we will get to Pearson admitting HE'S got it wrong the last few games.

The last games have gone now, and most of us have cut him some slack, but he talks about learning from these errors, he needs to show that now, his leicester career depends on it, as has been said numerous times on here, we don't expect to win, but it's how we lose we will be concerned about, and as has been said the owners want to stay up after the investment, and if he doesn't look like adapting, they will sack him soon in my opinion

Anyone else read that article as a Col City fan post? Underestimating quality, no easy games etc :D

It's because its true! I still can't believe some of the stuff I read on here over the summer and after the Man U game, about the Prem not being much better than the Championship. The Prem not being 'all that'. IMO that's utter guff..

The Sky money means we have some of the best players in the world in the PL - I want to see LCFC  compete with  these teams.  This is a huge step up from the championship - that's why teams including us find it hard to adjust.

It is a step up for everyone at the club - including the manager: for whatever reason, NP decided we needed to have more control in the middle - but in my option, he threw the baby out with the bath water and we have lost what made us great last year; and we have lost our ability to score.  But it is not too late... we can get it back.  It's a roller coaster - that's why we will be so pleased when we establish ourselves in the PL

By winning the championship we won the opportunity to take up the challenge of the PL - it is hard but we can get there; and if we fail will must try again.... and again.  What sort of people would we be if the were content to just see out our days in the championship too scared to try to be a PL side?

Agree with you on that, I think if he doesn't show any signs of changing then there's only one way his Leicester career will go. Just given the previous evidence of him time and time again proving his doubters wrong, it's a shame to see them falling into the same old trap of "it's bad now and it won't improve, he's stubborn and stuck in his ways".

I feel he'll develop into a top manager in the future which is probably why I'm willing to give him more leeway.
