lgfualol Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Stay. The club ****ed up in the Summer. Too much inexperience all round the club.
5waller5 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Yeah, and be limited to that ambition for the length of his tenure. heaven forbid it ever happens. It's better than having the ambition of promotion next season because we've written off this one!!!!! And I also disagree ..... Stoke were never in a relegation battle in his later years there, in fact he built quite a side.
EnglishOxide Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Stay. If we go down, he deserves to try and bring us back up and prepare us better. If he keeps us up, he improves the squad for the following season.
Gubbins Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I think Mourinho would struggle to keep us up at this point so although Pearson thoroughly deserves the sack for this miserable form, it wouldn't prevent relegation. I would leave it til the end of the season to make a decision although finishing on 25 points or less would surely prove that Pearson is not cut out for the PL and should result in instant dismissal.
Guest kristianity77 Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Sunderlands record was 2 points in 60, so we're still 7 games off it. My bad. I was looking at Sunderlands results during the time during 04 05. Not the few seasons before in the prem when they actually got a half decent tally considering they went 0/2/18.
Grewks Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Since his first arrival, Pearson has transformed the club from a hugely debt ridden, going backwards club at the lowest point in its history, with an ageing squad incapable of producing or even supporting young talent. To a young and hungry side, with huge potential and players with the capabilities of, in the future, going on to play for the very top clubs in this country. Remember the last time we got rid of Pearson and went with the 'foreign option'? Sven and Sousa, two vastly different managerial styles, were poor. One almost destabilised the club back to a position we were in before big nige changed our fortunes. We are now a club, debt-free, full of young exciting talents (moore, schlupp, mahrez, knocky, james, drinky, king etc) both at first team level and youth (Lawrence, barmby etc). A club which is only heading in one direction, on the up. Remind me...who bought in these players? Who had the courage to give chances to youth players like king, moore and schlupp?? Like our players have shown this season, clearly nige still needs time at this level....and in my eyes he has earned it. The guy has never stopped learning season upon season, and I have no reason to see why it won't continue.
Dan Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 I'm close to being tipped over. I haven't yet, but... I'm edging closer. This is nothing short of calamitous.

Dan Posted 27 December 2014 Posted 27 December 2014 Was last season your first? You're sure acting like it if you think this season is 'calamitous'. Are you for real? We've picked up 2 points in 13 games. That is nothing short of calamitous. The Spurs game was a definite improvement, and if we can take that kind of effort to Hull and actually get something then I'll be given some hope again. I think we're in huge shite no matter who our manager is now though. We completely ****ed this season up.
