Guest bss9401 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 I think that 6 wins and a couple of draws may well be enough to keep us up so yes, we can stay up. A couple of wins from those games listed would put us in a great position.
MC Prussian Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 That's the question with regards to Premiership survival. If we get a few more high quality players in, will we have time to settle, and pull clear of the bottom three? Personally, I feel it will be too late, but much will depend on how the other clubs involved in the relegation fight, fare in the coming weeks. The big question I keep asking myself, is why didn't we bring in the quality in the summer, which has certainly cost us many points? That was a massive mistake, but what do you really think of our survival chances? I could understand where you're coming from if you started your thread two or three weeks away from the end of the season. At this moment, panicking about Premier League survival with so many more games to play and with teams so close to one another makes absolutely no sense. You're being very, very bizarre.
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 Nope. The amount of points we've lost is very frustrating. Get a few new faces in this month and I think we have a chance. Mahrez, Kramaric, Schlupp up top in a few weeks - with Ulloa/Nuge/Someone else up there too.
billyn88 Posted 10 January 2015 Posted 10 January 2015 The only argument you could have for us leaving it too late would be having an unbelievably tough run of remaining fixtures. We've only played Liverpool (a relatively strong team) and villa (a relatively weak team) twice. Winnable, tough and very tough games remain but it's the same for our rivals. Coming out of that awful run in the fashion we have gives me confidence well have a better second half of the season points wise. This still might not quite be enough but who knows - we've waited long enough for this, let's make the most of it!

Love the "bizarre" part. Seriously, I don't believe the question has been asked too early, considering out league position. The form of the clubs just above us, is going to be paramount , in the coming weeks, and we do need to maintain sustained good form and results. This transfer window could be the big decider. Come on City, upwards, and onwards.

I've been panicking about Premiership survival since QPR lost to Bournemouth!
