steveherbe Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 I was there as well, not in the kop though, I'd outgrown all that silly singing and chanting, just went to appreciate the quality of the football - what a twat I was!
st albans fox Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 Looking at their first goal, perhaps Konch asked which of our left backs he should model himself on and the answer was rofe - go watch a video and he could only find this match? Guest Cujek Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 there are some proper tackles going on in them games, especially the bristol / chelsea game.
Buce Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 You can actually here our fans at the end of the game singing "Leatherhead", out of respect. I`ve always remembered that too. I'm sure it helped that we won, though. It's a lot easier to be magnanamous in victory.

1972 Fox Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 At least they're not showing the Harlow game. Don't remember singing 'Harlow' at the end of the replay after they knocked us out. Just remember trying to tip over the hot dog wagon on the grass bank where we had been standing. Shocking night. We did go on to win the div 2 championship that season so it wasn't all bad. reynard Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 At least they're not showing the Harlow game. Possibly the most embarrassing day in the club's history?
Buce Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 I would say Wycombe was worse: Premier League side, and at home.
Master Fox Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 I blame Birch. Total liability in that game.

Buce Posted 25 January 2015 Share Posted 25 January 2015 Really Wycombe were a league side Harlow were not even conference standard. Yeah, but we were an established Premier League side, and at home. I was at both games, and Wycombe felt worse to me. I guess it probably seems worse because that game started the rot.
