  1. Karma for the people who renewed and putting money into the club if we hire Russel Martin. Hilarious and incredibly predictable. Nothing changes if nothing changes
  2. Love the day date. And 40 ish years still going, probably go for other 40
  3. yes would be if you declare it on the way back through customs.....
  4. It's nice with the black, my favourite yellow face watch is the Citizen Tsuyosa, my go to for all of summer and take on holiday. Really good watch for £300 and one of my favourites - anything Citizen is really good though.
  5. I believe so yes, I would like to visit Japan one day and get a bargain grand seiko - I'm sure they are about £2000 less than what they retail for on Chrono and the UK
  6. The time it takes to make the watch and the detail/precision that goes into it, and the Zaratsu hand polishing. Swiss movement which are the best etc Most watch companies make a big mark up as well, some 6/7 times cost price Christopher Ward UK brand I am a big fan of and have a watch of theirs, they have a rule where the price is always 3 x the cost to make the watch I'm not sure they are brute looking but each to their own, i would associate breitling, some of the coloured dial submariners as more brute and flash
  7. I’m tempted by a Chinese tourbillon - you can get one for about £400 🤣 it is just a roll of the dice wether it would last for a few years
  8. Thanks, luckily watch thief’s wouldn’t know what a grand seiko is if it slapped them in the face, so I’m good 🤣it’s the cherry blossom one and the details are incredible in different lights. I’m dreading servicing it tbh il worry about that in a few years!
  9. there are two types of people who buy watches, some that want an expensive piece on their wrist to show it off and people who are interested in the precision of Horology. citizen eco drive are great watches I have a grand seiko that has a sweeping minute hand - It utilizes a traditional mainspring to generate power, but replaces the standard mechanical escapement with an electro-magnetic "tri-synchro regulator" controlled by a quartz crystal i have 5 watches and the more I collect the less I wear them so will only buy another if I sell. I will always wear one for a few weeks then rotate
  10. “unskilled” Is subjective isn’t it? I know a lot of trades people who earn more money than a lot of professional teachers. Are the bricklayers more middle class than teachers? it’s an interesting one
  11. How would you define what jobs are middle class?
  12. Why didn't they check for stab wounds straight away when he said he has been stabbed? "i don't think you have mate" was the term muttered
  13. But, people still buying season tickets who are still very anti current ownership. Make it make sense? Do they realise the money goes into the club, Top stays? Top see's nothing wrong with the club if everyone is buying the season tickets?
  14. I did see this, and I am tempted!
  15. hot air balloons And Ice cream vans in residential areas - (Petrol prices?)
