Random thought, do we think relegation wage decreases will compound in L1. E.g. a player on a 40% cut and £50k in the PL would have been on £30k this season, then subsequently £18k in L1? Might make some players easier to move on if so.

Just how contradictory it is mate, don’t have a problem with it as such. Just one minute berating other fans for chants that don’t support the team to then doing it themselves in a matter of minutes

Very amused by a pair of ‘fans’ behind me in the lower tier yesterday. Got themselves all irate at the chanting about going down to league 1 etc, stating the need to ‘back the lads’ - a reasonable opinion of course. Or at least it would be if in the next 10 mins we didn’t have: 1. Calling Daka a “useless f***ing knobhead” 2. Calling Skipp a “stupid slaphead willy puller” 3. Attempting to start a chorus of ‘sideways and backwards’ 4. Oles when we passed the ball about Braindead. And for what it’s worth I can see both sides but honestly these players do deserve the stick they get.

I think both things can be true - performances (aside from Norwich and QPR) have improved but results haven’t. Under Cifuentes we were lucky to get a lot of the points we have. Under Rowett, we’ve been unlucky to not accumulate more points (Stoke, Watford, Preston in particular). I’d be willing to bet if we’d had Rowett from the start of the season we wouldn’t be in the relegation conversation, though we likely wouldn’t have been pushing up the top end of the table either.

It’s just so nonsensical all round. You’d have thought in their position, Wednesday would just be happy to sell as many tickets as possible and you’d think we’d want as many fans there as possible to back the team in a crucial game. Seems like Wednesday are being greedy and want all tickets purchased and paid for up front, and we’re being stubborn and won’t do that through fear we won’t sell them (I think we would for what it’s worth). Can see why the clubs are 22nd and 24th… awful management of this situation.

One small thing I noticed and liked was him grabbing Okoli at full-time and making him go and give his shirt to a kid who had asked for it after initially either not seeing or ignoring them. Good performance on the pitch too, first time in a while I thought we looked more or less completely comfortable at the back,

I suspect we’ll see Winks, Ricardo, Daka and Mukasa come back in. I think they’ll be managing JJ’s minutes otherwise I’d want him to start, obviously. BDCR has been doing ok but Mukasa is a much better player when he’s on it. Bobby isn’t a bad option off the bench to see out a game if we’re winning also.
