Only Aluko, Chaplin are likely starters at Notts from that XI. Possibly McCarthy and Choudhury too. Carr looks tidy. Aside from him and Aluko the other youngsters look a little off the pace.

Not that it would have helped for this game other than for a small chance in the ballot, but pretty shoddy that memberships haven’t been finalised before the first game goes on sale.

First bit of good news for a while.

I’d like Alex Mitchell from Charlton as a new CB (was on loan at Argyle last season), especially if Nelson, Souttar etc leave. Very much reminds me of a lower league Maguire. Strong, dominant, technically good and (unlike Maguire) is a bit of a character too in a good way. Available for £500k apparently as he’s in the last year of his deal. Played with Tolaj last season which is a bonus if he were to come.

Has a reputation in and around the city for being a bit of a up himself twat, so would fit right in

Random thought, do we think relegation wage decreases will compound in L1. E.g. a player on a 40% cut and £50k in the PL would have been on £30k this season, then subsequently £18k in L1? Might make some players easier to move on if so.
