Fat Ron Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 to ring changes .......Link from BBC Sport http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/7148130.stm "It's amazing what one real good player coming in can do and it's also amazing what a load of half-decent players can do as well. Ok, now Im getting worried... 'a load of Half decent players'??? No aspirations to bringing in 2 or 3 real quality players then?
Master Fox Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I feel unhappy I am so sad I lost the best friend That I ever had She's my baby I love her so But it's too late now I've let her go We're going through changes We're going through changes We shared the years We shared each day I love you daddy But I found my way You know the world Is an evil place My baby's grown now She's found her way We're going through changes We're going through changes It took so long To realize And I can still hear His last goodbye Now all my days Are filled with fears Wish I could go back And change these years We're going through changes We're going through changes We're going through changes Changes, changes, changes
Jay Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Ok, now Im getting worried... 'a load of Half decent players'??? No aspirations to being in 2 or 3 real quality players then? well a load of half decent players is far better than the load of sh1te players that are currently wandering around the pitch in Leicester shirts
Babylon Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Ok, now Im getting worried... 'a load of Half decent players'??? No aspirations to bringing in 2 or 3 real quality players then? Because we don't have that much to spend.
Fat Ron Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 well a load of half decent players is far better than the load of sh1te players that are currently wandering around the pitch in Leicester shirts Ahhh So true... I feel calm again now Because we don't have that much to spend. I would have thought Milan would back him for Transfers, surely he has to trim the Wage bill though. (Or rather, sell some sh*t.)
Wilkesy Posted 17 December 2007 Author Posted 17 December 2007 Im really interested to see what Ollie can do with a bit of cash too spend, as he has a good track record in the transfer market, but has never had any significant amount to spend.

(Or rather, sell some sh*t.) We couldn't get rid of the last lot so what makes anyone think we'll be able to off load any of the current lot, when they've failed to deliver and been publically slated as crap I can't imagine.
Fat Ron Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 We couldn't get rid of the last lot so what makes anyone think we'll be able to off load any of the current lot, when they've failed to deliver and been publically slated as crap I can't imagine. If thats the case davie, surely Milan could pay up contracts and release them. I know it would cost a small fortune but it would be beneficial in the long run to have such tat off of the wage bill and more importantly not disrupting the players who are staying, especially the kids such as Sheehan, Mattock, Chambers and King.
Babylon Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Douglas, De Vries, Maybury, Elvis (four of our biggest earners), Kenton and Newton are out of contract in the summer. Nielson wants to leave, Kaebi will go if he's not playing regularly and there is a good chance Kishishev will join Leeds. We will get stuck with Cort and Hellings. The rest can provide a base for a squad to build from. What he'll have to do is bite the bullet and spend now rather than in the summer, as he'll know the decks will be cleared quite a bit come July.

I don't see the point in releasing them. We'd only have to use kids who are out of their depth. Someone like Maybury, for example, has actually come in and played a part in a couple of good results (Villa and Burnley away) - and at any other club would be a fairly solid backup right-back. Course we have about nine of the bastards so he's about seventh in the pecking order for his proper position, shunted round midfield whenever he does get in the team every few months, not fully fit, and hung out to dry by all and sundry. I remember when football clubs had two players in every position and played their second choice players in the reserves to keep them fit for duty in the first team.

Average players worth a place/potential are: DJ John King Sheehan Fulop Mattock Hayes N’Gotty Chambers Wes Sappleton Everyone else can fcuk off. None of the rest are good enough. Fact!!!

Master Fox Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I'd agree... although Hume would stay for me as well. So technically I disagree... I think?? Hume can fcuk off, he's sh*t. One of the worst actually I would keep kenton too Why?
Dr_Fox Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I said last night that I was worried that Holloway would be like a kid in a sweet shop come the transfer window given that this will be the largest transfer budget he's ever had. These comments do little to reassure me.
Fat Ron Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Hume can fcuk off, he's sh*t. One of worst actually I like Hume. I personally would be dissapointed to see him go but.... No player is as big as the club.
Babylon Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I'm sorry but that's nuts. Mcauley, Kisnorbo, Weso, hume and Clemence are good enough for this level if surrounded by the right players. Even if it's just on the bench. We just need a whole new creative midfield and a striker with presence and skill who can finish... what's Drogba up to?

African Nations for 6 weeks so it would be a waste of money in my opinion
Staf Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Hume can fcuk off, he's sh*t. One of the worst actually Why? Hume hasnt been as good as he was last season but he is one of the better players who always puts in a 100% and he has been scoring recently
Bryn Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 I wish he'd get out of the sodding media... I feel for the players, I really do. I genuinely don't think it's lack of effort, they're just not very good. How would you feel if you were trying to do a job you were passionate about, but your boss was slating you for all to hear. He's right though.

Advice for managers: ============= Hear no evil, speak no evil but see everything.
danny. Posted 17 December 2007 Posted 17 December 2007 Why? Because whenever he has played he has had pretty decent games, especially as most of the time he has been out of position. Go back and read through the old "player ratings" threads, he has played as well as anyone in the squad. He isn't a world beater but he would be a good utility player to have in this division.
