Jack Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Not my usual type of music, but I've heard a few songs and I quite like what I hear.
AoWW Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I like most of the tracks off Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever... haven't heard much of their older stuff though. 'Be Safe' is amazing. Very odd, but stunning lyrics. If anyone can shed any light on why I find this song quite so, "oh... my... god..." please enlighten me - it's completely irrational as it's about as far from 'sexy' as you'd think you could get. I see your hallway, you are a dark hallway I hear your stairs creak I can fix my mind on your 'yes', on your 'no' I'll film your face today in the sparkling canals All red, yellow, blue, green brilliance and silver Dutch reflection Racing thoughts, racing thoughts All too real, you're moving so fast now I can't hold your image This image I have of your face by the window, me standing beside you, arm on your shoulder A catalogue of images, flashing glimpses, then gone again I'm tethered to this post you've sunk in me and Every clear afternoon, now I will think of you: up in the air, twisting your heel, Your knees up around me, my face in your hair You scream so well, your smile so loud it still rings in my ears "I know a place we can go where you'll fall in love so hard that you'll wish you were dead"

Joe. Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 Love a bit of Cribs. Men's Needs Women's Needs Whatever is a very good album. The New Fellas is also a great album, but not as good as their latest one I don't think.
General Smuts Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 I could go on and on about the Cribs and im sure i probably have. J'Adore Le Cribs!!! 'The New Fellas' is by far my second favourite album of all time. (You'll never beat 'The Queen Is Dead') Love the new album and 'Man's Needs' is never out of my head.
Wils Posted 2 January 2008 Posted 2 January 2008 First album better in my opinion. Second one is still good but i love the first.
Alexikokopops Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 Fez lent me the album and I'm not too keen. I'd heard Men's Needs before and weren't too keen so it were a bit disappointing when that popped up. I'll give it some more listening, but first impressions aren't ideal.

(only a suggestion) Actually, the thought of your knees up around me with my face in your hair hmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Cat Burger Posted 3 January 2008 Posted 3 January 2008 First album better in my opinion. Second one is still good but i love the first. There's three. The first one is indeed the best, does that mean you don't like the third one, as you haven't alluded to it? I do concur.

Give me songs like 'To Jackson' and 'The North Of England" any day.
