Lillehamring Posted 21 July 2009 Posted 21 July 2009 Ok, seems to be a little early, but it's all well under way... currently keeping an eye on the 2nd qualifying round and happy to see stabekk looking very strong against a rather hapless Tirana, but looks like rhyl are on their way out: FT's and games in progress tonight.... FK Makedonija Skopje 0-4 BATE Pyunik - Dinamo Zagreb Ekranas 4-6 Bakı EB/Streymur 0-5 APOEL Rhyl - Partizan Inter Turku 0-2 Sheriff Levski 9-0 Sant Julià Tirana - Stabæk Zrinjski 1-4 Slovan Bratislava *apologies if this is a duplicate thread, please move if necessary
Lillehamring Posted 21 July 2009 Author Posted 21 July 2009 C'mon Sant Julia! that's the aggregate, and it's gonna be dwarved by the rhyl defeat, current aggregate 11-0 with 30 to play, mind you they are playing partizan....
Lillehamring Posted 21 July 2009 Author Posted 21 July 2009 Go Rhyl! go bye bye, more like... 12-0 agg now...

Darkzzz_ Posted 22 July 2009 Posted 22 July 2009 Glad somebody started this up now, I expect all CL gossip to be done in here by the end of May.
AjcW Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 Celtic game has started off fantastically, end to end stuff, the stream I have isnt that great but its watchable. Think mowbray is going to do big things at celtic. Scratch that 1-0 Dinamo

Scratch that 1-0 Dinamo You stuck a bit of a curse on them! He is gonna have a tough time following on from GS and MoN but you have to be John Barnes not to do well in that league so I think he will do fine.
lildave3 Posted 29 July 2009 Posted 29 July 2009 I might go for Alexboy for my predictions. Whatever he says, do the opposite.

And yes hitesh im sure he will do fine once he and the new signings have settled in, its just his refusel to play anything other than his "Brand" of football that seems to get him in a mess sometimes, I mean I watched all last nights game and it was entertaining, but only because of how open celtic were, moscow ran rings round them and had far too much time on the ball.
Lillehamring Posted 30 July 2009 Author Posted 30 July 2009 not a great result for stabekk (3-1 away to københavn), but the away goal could be key, as the return leg will be on an indoors pitch, which can't be easy for away teams....

Excuse my ignorance valerenga, but is "københavn" what we would call Copenhagen??
MC Prussian Posted 30 July 2009 Posted 30 July 2009 Hahaha, Zurich lost to Maribor at home 2-3. Two sloppy goaltending errors allowed the Slovenians to break away after a 2-1 deficit. And Zurich wasted tons of chances in the second half. Johan Vonlanthen, Swiss International and on loan from Red Bull Salzburg, missed a couple of times. Still possible for FC Zurich to turn it around, but it's not going to be easy...

They will have difficulties preventing Copenhagen from scoring an away goal and overturning the deficit Excuse my ignorance valerenga, but is "københavn" what we would call Copenhagen?? Yep
Ultra Posted 5 August 2009 Posted 5 August 2009 Fantastic result for Celtic tonight - a 2-0 win in Moscow to qualify 2-1 on aggregate.

Lillehamring Posted 5 August 2009 Author Posted 5 August 2009 They will have difficulties preventing Copenhagen from scoring an away goal and overturning the deficit Yep quality game harsh on stabekk, played some wonderful footy, but fairplay to FCK for their resolution (don't think they were even thinking about scoring!) and one of the best saves your likely to see...
