I stated my opinion based on the BBC, along with the output of the other mainstream channels when it comes to Brexit, immigration, gender ideaology, critical race theory, net zero, Israel/Palestine conflict, US politics, all which seems to veer to the left, mainly due to the people who work there, if you dont agree, thats cool.

Guys, it'd be nice to be able to come in here and have a good discussion about stuff without it resembling a playground. Have a good rest of the night talking and agreeing amongst yourselves. Never did get the answer from @Lionator
-
He said most of the people working there had strong left leaning views yes, this was at the time Corbyn was labour leader.
-
I didn't use the words strongly or uniformly, I just said it has a left wing bias. Chat GPT has a good point that it depends on where your political viewpoint is, thats why id be interested to see what the public think, as I said before most people I speak to think the BBC is left leaning. Its a complex issue as it has a lot of content. I dont really watch anything on the BBC now anyway.
-
It seems clear to me and thats why I stated clearly. Its fine if you dont agree, I dont care really, thought I'd ask ChatGPT to see what that thinks, and it seems to agree that there appears a slight left wing bias.
-
Tim Davie said it, not me.
-
And the viewpoint of others, and Tim Davie when it came to comedy, and my brother that worked there.
-
I've not seen your post about research. I only replied to @Lionator as I saw his post

I used to be an avid question time fan, it always seemed to me that any conservative voice was brought on to be the panto villain. I cant comment on the study as ive not seen how it was conducted and wouldnt be interested in arguing against its findings. What would be interesting is the overall viewpoint of the public, or should that not matter?
-
I'm not assuming anything to fit my narrative, its my viewpoint based on what i see and when I talk to others. I also have a brother that worked at the BBC. For example Tim Davie stated he wanted to address the left wing comedy bias at the BBC, so even he thought there was an issue.
-
The BBC clearly has a left wing bias, this is obvious, and this is fine as long as it's not funded with the licence fee. @Lionator stated the BBC cant really achieve impartiality and shouldnt pretend to do so, many now dont trust it to be truthful and impartial anymore so i'm not sure how it can continue to demand the licence fee, more people will just refuse to pay it.
-
Do you agree thst the licence fee should be scrapped then?

Listened to first episode today and honest opinion, I didn't think it was great. Spent the first 15 minutes going through what happened in previous matches, I didn't see the point in that, then Oscar comparing this seasons squad with Maresca's, claiming if maresca can get these players up, why can't Marti. I expected the other presenter to mention the fact we've lost JJ, Vardy, Mads, KDH, Ndidi, Doyle, Praet, Ricardo 2 years older, but he never did, he just agreed that we have Premier league players so are under performing. I also heard an accusation a couple of commentators said the side doesnt look like its been coached, would be interested who said that. I don't mind hearing alternative views but they have to have an element of sense if you're going to do a pod cast. Maybe you need more guests to offer balance. Sorry to be a downer but you asked for feedback

I've never understood why he gets so much hate, I just think he represents a disapointing period, but i think we should be trying him up front, said this months ago -
I think the players may have downed tools here, they look disinterested
-
I just think carranza looks match rusty where as daka is just awful
-
Think he should have persevered with carranza. On a side note. The midlands club league looks grim with us at the bottom with West brom

I have been told that my ban from the third thread (the *** of our time) which I've been removed from, is for turning it political. This reason given is surprising as when i looked, there's lots of political discussion prior to my contribution, infact you could say the whole site has many political posts on threads that were not started to be political, and I wouldn't even be discussing anything political anyehere else if I hadn't have been banned from the GN thread. If the Mods are not happy with how a thread is going, why dont they just post or message a warning? It seems to me to be dependent upon how you politically lean. I'm a working class Leicester fan with political opinions, shared by the majority of people in this Country, I dont like having the feeling I'm being silenced/cancelled on a forum where discussion on all subjects has the illusion of being open as long as you have respect for others. The 1st post i was removed from, (climate poll), was whilst i was in the middle of a debate with the guy always on there regards net zero, it was to his surprise I was silenced and removed. when I messaged him to ask if he'd had a problem with our debate, respectful debate to me is good, as long as its respectful, something I cant say happens with certain accounts on here that seem to never get flagged. I have asked politely if I can be reinstated to these threads with the request that if i'm out of line, please let me know, but doesn't seem to have got me anywhere, so sadly i'm going to have to delete my account after 15 years of contributing to this forum as I don't like how this makes me feel. I hope that changes are made so in the future I could use the forum again.

He's been poor for a while, needs to make some runs inside, I dont think hes as good as people think, should have been pulled on 60 for stephy
-
Its fine for the owner or mods to be left wing land not want to see posts criticising that, that much is clear, but just say that, then we all know where we stand. I have seen racism (anti white) on here with the poster admitting it was racist, I have flagged a poster being abusive towards me which resulted in my post being removed. The post that got me banned from GN was an interview with Raja Miah, a brave man who is seeking justice for the survivors of Rotherham. I have a teenage daughter so this is close to my heart. 15 years I've been on this forum but this is making me consider whether its for me tbh

I’ve now been banned from another thread, the *** of our time. Why? What have I said or done that warrants that? Non of my posts have broken any rules, I’ve not been offensive to anyone, so wtf is going on?

Leicester v Middlesboro - Tuesday 4th November
splinterdream replied to beepee1984's topic in Leicester City Forum
Our issues we're having is in the opposition final third, I think if we resolve that, to some extent the defense sorts itself. I think marti needs to allow Abdul, stephy, ayew, whoever is in to roam anywhere along the front line when we're in possession, the only way Abdul shakes off his markers and confuses the opposition back line. We're too predictable and sides know if they get a goal up, we'll have no reply. Perhaps at certain parts of the game Abdul and stephy could swap sides or abandon the wing and make runs through the middle -
