Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
splinterdream replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
It was such a tall order to get anything out of these players, a task most managers would have struggled with, we messed up in the summer, it had to be a perfect window and it wasn't, and that maybe down to the threat of points deduction, it just hasn't gone for us. As for signing someone this window, I have to wonder if agents see us as a soft touch with contracts now, and we're trying to take a stand. It's a big giant dog shit sandwich, and we're all going to have to take a bite -
Can't disagree
-
Truly shocking shocking shocking performance
-
Stick mavididi on the right, see if he's any better, take winks off and bring facundo on
-
It is extremely odd a manager is watching this and makes no changes, extremely odd. He either doesn't care or is making a point here
-
Honestly can't believe he's not made changes
-
Yeah, you're right in a way but if you can't get motivated for this, you should not be putting on the shirt
-
What do you think is on him, because those players look half arsed, i don't think any change in the selection works if the players are not arsed
-
Is this the worst half of football we've played this season?

Being as it was Auschwitz 80th memorial this week, I'd like to mention the movie A Zone of Interest. The director uses sounds rather than visual representation to create the horror that there was with Auschwitz, it's really worth a look.

I think Unforgiven is probably one of my faves

Well, fair play @SpacedX and @leicsmac you guys got me beat, you sure know alot about space travel, climate change science, vaccines and US politics, even quotes from people i don't know and the rep sheet of others as well, I'm just a member of a football forum and wanted a casual chat, way out of my league. Go easy chaps 🤣

I'll tell you whats dangerous, censorship, and you seem to be all for that, thank god for the 1st amendment, i wish we had that here.

Coffee from Vietnam is amazing, best I’ve ever tasted, but I guess it’s like wine, whiskey etc there’s various levels of quality. I don’t get it with tea, I visited a tea plantation in Sri Lanka, and drank high quality tea, and I didn’t find it pleasant at all.

😂 it’s okay, I find it funny that someone can get so angry at me putting speculative stuff out there, I really have no knowledge on the subject, but I don’t understand getting upset about discussing an issue like the moon landings, I don’t go around telling people we didn’t land on the moon, I’d be more like, I wonder if they were faked? Discuss. but that wasn’t why I posted, I just don’t see how being suspicious of events around you, whether political or social, can lead to the far right, and what is the far right anyway? The US administration was brought up, pro life lobby vs women’s autonomy, and gay marriage. I’ve never been to the States but I gather some states are big on Christianity, and as we maybe seeing in the UK, can religion can lead political policy, and from what I see in my limited view, the US has more of an extreme political divide than we do, and I think it’s because the battle is fought so hard, whereas most people would be somewhere in the middle, moreover I remember gay marriage being discussed in the UK, and those against it argued that if it were allowed, those against it on religious grounds would be forced to marry same sex couples, I guess the same arguments are being played out in the US, but is that far right? Would we say Islamic nations are far right? If the Labour Party bring through a blasphemy law that denies my the right to criticise Islam, which itself has the same issues with LGBT and women’s autonomy, are they far right? And lastly, I have to wonder where the statistics come from that claim how many lives the Covid jab has saved, and how many it has injured. I just don’t think we can be sure of the true number either way, it was indeed a doctor who didn’t want the jab, and publicly questioned sajid javid on firing medical staff for not taking the jab that confirmed for me I’d made the right choice, there were doctors I heard interviewed who said the only people they’d had in the wards were the very elderly or those with underlying health issues. The tragedy is how many lives have been lost due to the lockdowns and the shutting down of the economy and healthcare except Covid. Since Covid we’ve had reports of the use of midazolam and morphine being administered to elderly patients, even against their wishes, and being questioned by some medical professionals as it brings about end of life. We’ve had doctors lying on daytime television about what the vaccine did, and 1 allegedly not declaring they’d had a payment from a vaccine manufacturer, there’s a pretty good podcast series by Doc Malik who has interviewed many who held serious concerns regards the vaccine, and he was a surgeon, check it out

I commented not really to do with the moon landings, but because of the statement that those with a suspicious nature to the things we see in the news, or current affairs of the past or future (conspiracy theorists) contribute to a rise of the far right, which i think is a conspiracy theory in itself. If I believed anything without doubt, I would say, if i had doubt I would say also, nothing wrong with discussing that. I haven't looked enough into the various arguments for or against the moon landings conspiracy, but I am pleased I didn't get the covod jab, because the evidence showed it did cause harm to people that didn't need it in the first place.
-
Not having the covid jab, did not contribute to the health crisis, it didn't stop.you from getting it, or spreading it, even though govts and medical professionals lied saying it did. I'm not sure what specifics you're referring to with LGBT and women, whether it's the gender critical theory in schools and the pushback against that, and the abortion laws in various states, going back to my previous post, the politics of the left pushing things like the right to full term abortion, and inappropriate content in schools that parents don't agree with, and limitless immigration that will have people voting for the opposite of a senile candidate, or candidate that was clearly out of her depth. Moon landings I just don't know enough about, but the footage was fake and filmed by Kubrick I think it's widely known. Joe Rogan did do an interview a year or so ago with the guy I believes it's fake and did give it a really hard time.
-
Strange that, because i don't see any rise of the far right. Over the past 10-15 years I've seen a rise of the far left, but if you're of that side, I guess you'd see any support for reform/Trump ect as far right. This is not to say that most are far right or far left, there's just been divide with pretty much everything. I hate the right left label because I think most people have a mixture of left and right wing views, but are generally labelled right wing by those to the extreme left. I think the public have every right and reason to be suspicious of authority.

I'm 50 this year, and whilst I appreciate Elton john, I also like Kasabian and appreciate they're a leicester city supporting band, you have to have something the youngsters will dig as well as middle aged blokes like me, I'd be horrified if they started playing Elton john
-
I'm.glad my suspicious nature led me to not take the Covid jab. As for.the moon landings, it is slightly odd we've never done it again, and then there's the whole issue of getting the that radiation belt, not that I care either way. 'Conspiracy theories' are based on the premise that govts are secretively doing something that isn't in the interests, but actually harms the population they are elected to protect, and a proportion of the population suspects what is going on, but hasn't that been proven to happen on many occasions?

How old are you if you don't mind me asking?
-
Why ain’t we signing any players

Probably because no one of any quality wants to come to a relegation fight in January, and if they do their terms might be unacceptable for the club who might be trying to reduce the wage structure. -

Worked for a German chef when I was teenager, you did something wrong, you got a bollocking, you did something good, you got a bollocking. Needless to say, when I quit, she was asking why as I'd been one of the best assistants in the kitchen she'd had. I didn't go back -

So according to the athletic, it was Facundo who was challenged for wearing the wrong boots, not Okoli -

What i have found strange with stephy this season is when he's been 1 on 1 on the left, he's chosen to on the outside rather than coming inside and having a dig, that's what he did well, but he hasn't been doing it
