Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

I was a ruud in, but with some time considering what happened Saturday and how he set up the team, listening to some decent analysis on some podcasts, I think Ruud was as big a mistake as Cooper. He certainly wasn't my choice, I wanted to see if we could tempt Rafa to give us a couple of years, but think tactically Ruud hasn't got a clue, and it's showing badly. The high line with slow defenders, no subs at half time, we look under prepared and still without a strategy. Hope he walks for the clubs sake. -
You have a laugh at the despair in this thread, all of us saying the same thing over and over, why do we care? 🤣
-
I think we've as good as given up this season, think we're desperate for a wage bill reset which might explain Dawson Coady deal and the reason we can't get anybody in.
-
This is so curious, why would wolves do this unless they felt they were getting a better deal. Have we given up and just want to swap a higher earner with a lower earner if that's what it is?
-
All our chatter is absolutely as hopeless as stephy is at beating the full back
-
I'm not so sure, Ndidi, Bilal in the pivot with Bilal playing more of a tielemens role, KDH playing further forward, he knows the team, he may make mivididi better. Don't see what else we can do
-
Not so sure that's true, they've both been equally as bad, because equally both are not what we need. Send facundo back, see if we can't get 6 month loan for KDH

It's a cup game, let's see what Thomas can do and give VK a break

We're in a hole, sometimes it's best if you just stop.digging.

I was saying to my Dad, wonder what the reaction would be if he made changes after 25 minutes pulling ayew for mav, facundo or kacey because it was clear from then, it wasn't working -
I think what the @AKCJ is getting at is we had extreme limitations coming to the summer window, with the lowest kitty and a points deduction hanging over us, now we're here in January window, players will be reluctant to come an agents will be trying to have us over a barrel, nonetheless we are here due to shortcomings some years ago

There was a cup game against Leeds i remember at filbo st, think they put 6 past us, as they scored 5 all our fans started singing we want 6 or something like that, think we did the Mexican wave aswell, those were the days

The 2nd half when we played a relegation set Bournemouth, we needed the win to cement 4th place, we bossed them first half, lots of chances, lots of smiles on.players faces, but felt sorry for them second half and stopped playing.

I think our problem was we needed a larger investment in the squad over the season, but our 3 year PSR figures have restrictedus from doing that. The Leeds game last season showed we were mentally and physically weak, we knew Enzo ball would need better players or we'd have to change the system, unfortunately our limitations meant we've done neither. Enzo ball relied on pacy tricky wingers, and relies on playing out from the back after bringing the team on to you, but we hoof it out from the back, and if we gain possession, we try playing Enzo ball but with slow wingers, we play a high line but with slow defenders and a centre forward that's too old to press. Think he's got to go with 3-5-2. I'd be tempted to play facundo and vardy up front -
His wages were too high though if it's right he's being paid £90k a week
-
He receives and passes, moves, then receives and passes, and he's good at that, and knowing what's around him, but I think you need more than that in the PL as a midfielder. You need strength, to be able to tackle and win your duels, to dribble with the ball, to score some goals. You don't need all those qualities, but at least 1 or 2 of those on top of what he already does
