I don’t think the CB’s were to blame for the amount of shots West Ham had. The majority of them were because the double pivot weren’t offering enough protection in the first half and neither winger offered much help to the full backs to prevent shooting opportunities.

Word on the formation that Ruud switched to after the Daka change. 4-2-2-2. It worked very well for both goals in terms of pressing and creating through the middle with marauding wing backs. Nice tweak RVN. 👏🏼

He’s an off the bench player and should not be starting for us. Fully expect he and Kasey McAthomas to be dropped for Mavididi/Bobby and Facundo in the next game
