As opposed to the "quality" we have right now? We're 22nd in the Championship, 19th without the points deduction. There's your answer as to our "quality". It's about darn time we get rid of all these overpaid, lazy players who are just sitting out their fat contracts. Whether that'll be in Championship or League One, at this point, I frankly don't care. They all need a reality check. Sadly, most of them live in a land of illusion, in a bubble that is the modern pro footballer's life. And the club management is responsible for this situation.

Southampton 2-1 Afterthought FC, post-match thread
MC Prussian replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
Same shit, different day. We just won't learn from our mistakes. At least the team that went down in 2008 had some fighting spirit in it. This squad is completely bereft of anything close to that. From goalkeepers to defenders to midfielders to our attackers, none of them come out with any credit today. Maybe Skipp because of the goal, but only barely. Mavididi selfish, wasteful. Okoli can go back to Italy, for all I care. Maybe there's a career opportunity in wrestling down there. And what did Ayew bring again to the game, apart from constantly falling to the ground? Most of these players are stealing a living. And the club is happy to reward them. So shameful. -
Okoli does it again! He loves them red cards.

That's Leicester City FC for the past two years or so.
-
Definitely lower. Oxford's spot is still up for grabs.
-
Normal service resumed. 2-1 Saints

This commentator: "Mukasa, Richards, they all look the same." (I'm paraphrasing here, but you'll get my drift)

Over-inflated ego is one major problem at work here. These are players who think they are PL level and who couldn't care less about the club – or League One. Massive summer sale coming up/needed – and a draining of the swamp. Restart with fitter, better. more willing players on reasonable wages.
-
1-0 Saints And just before half-time, what better time to score. GET IN!
-
Yes, Okoli. Great job pointing at the ball that you didn't touch.
-
Penalty to So'ton.
-
Fantastic corner, btw.
-
Chances? Zero.
-
Ah, the world-famous Ayew Flip©.
-
Which player will see a red card before half-time?

FA Cup coverage with Chinese commentary. Bliss.

Just brilliant, a masterpiece with two fantastic actors on how relationships evolve once the butterflies are gone. Very charming. The dialogue, the editing, the choreography (Stanley Donen), the music (Henry Mancini), the cars. Holds up well after nearly 60 years.

Blackpool? Not so much. Depending on where you sit, the view is blocked by these bloody pillars. I'd be most looking forward to Wimbledon (tidy club, massive respect for what they've achieved since the inception), Peterborough (sort of a derby, easy to get to), Mansfield (not too far off, either; never been), Northampton (been there, odd location in that cauldron; quite the friendly folks from what I recall) and Wycombe (for the nostalgia). Depending on the outcome in League Two, Notts away would be fantastic. Swindon for THAT playoff final. Cambridge (love the place) and Bromley (I know a particular LCFC fan who lives down there and is a loyal Bromley supporter). Would love to see Oldham making a return to a higher division soon, too..

At least Patson Daka will be able to score more than three or four league goals a season. Five, to be precise.

Unlucky in the lottery. But there's still hope I can catch that one game live.
-
@spacemunky Shameful behaviour. You don't play with people's feelings the way you do play football in the CFL. (Whether we face Notts next season depends on your side not going up, btw)

LCFC 3-4 Southampton, post-match thread
MC Prussian replied to Phil Mitchell's topic in Leicester City Forum
I had totally forgotten we were even playing last night. Imagine my surprise when I saw highlights on the EFL FB page last night. I thought to myself "what alternate universe am I in? What season was that from?" I just can't get any excitement out of supporting this club any longer. It feels like a slow, painful death that won't come sooner. 14 more matches of this dross, watching this carcass of a team deteriorating into dust. Last night's game encapsulated all that is wrong with this club. Second-worst defensive record in the league. Shambolic. I guess we want to rival the Wednesday, eh? We're the laughing stock of this league, and maybe English football on the whole. And deservedly so. It's got to get worse before it gets any better. Might as well call it quits already and plan for League One next season. -

Basics? They were probably as shocked as we were.
