  1. Danny Ward. 52 matches in all competitions – in seven seasons with us. £12.5m well spent.
  2. Why would I want a review of a Sunday match on a Tuesday afternoon?
  3. Very "stiff" on the pitch whenever I've seen him play. But maybe he can live up to his potential in the Championship.
  4. Well, I haven't heard Ivan Juric complain about the squad he inherited at Southampton, either. To be honest, the writing was somewhat on the wall with us towards the end of the 2023/24 Championship season. Remember all those poor results (eight defeats during the second 23 games of the season), and how we limped over the finishing line?
  5. Pretty much still his team, though.
  6. And beaten by RVN's Leicester.
  7. It'd be nice if we had a) defenders that could defend (80 goals against in a 38-game season is appalling). What's the saying – "building from the back"? Just look at what Burnley achieved this season, incredible. We have to emulate that. b) a creative, attacking midfield (remember all the games when Vardy was left up front on his own because no one would pass the ball to him?) c) strikers that can score (Daka better rediscover his scoring boots in the Championship: 1 (!) goal in 23 matches this season, abysmal) d) passion, fight and determination e) players enjoying to wear the shirt instead of simply collecting a pay check At least our youngsters and some senior players do give me some hope.
  8. Starts two alleged left-backs simultaneously, one of them as a "winger", when we have actual attacking players available on the bench (Buonanotte, Monga). Insists on starting Soumaré, when we have Pereira. Insists on starting Faes, when we have Okoli. Make it make sense.
  9. There's always pre-season and entertaining 0-1 losses.
  10. Less than one goal per game scored, more than two goals conceded on average. No attacking midfield. Vardy gone. The future's bleak.
  11. Soumaré wants to be a Bournemouth player so bad. Wonderful assist.
  12. Start Ayew one storey underground and he'd have scored that.
  13. "There's nobody in the center." Colour me surprised.
  14. Well done, Bournemouth. Deserved lead. It's a miracle we were able to hang onto that clean sheet for so long.
  15. Pray that any other club will want to pay money for Daka, Faes, Ayew, Soumaré. Also, are we playing with two left-backs (Thomas and Kristiansen)? Jeebus. Skipp and Soumaré in midfield really does put fear into opposition's defenders – and our wingers get no service at all, let alone Daka. Ayew isn't an attacking central midfielder. The only reason we haven't conceded yet is pure luck.
  16. More than half of our starting XI today can bugger off in the summer.
  17. And that's why Skipp isn't know for his goalscoring record.
  18. Charlton it is, then. Bigger away end.
  19. As long as he delivers liquid football on the pitch, I couldn't care less.
  20. So... Charlton or Leyton Orient, whom do we prefer in the Championship next season?
  21. Congratulations, Sunderland! Wonder how they'll fare in the Premier League next season, squad's rather inexperienced and lightweight. The Blades had it in their own hands to win this, and failed. That's football. Looking forward to that Tyne and Wear derby.
