  1. Very chuffed here. Managed 1:51 and I ain’t been anywhere near that pace post wedding/honeymoon. I’m carrying about half a stone more than my PB pace so very, very happy Course is a lot better than when I ran it in 2022
  2. Smashing effort by Ric today 1:50 on his half debut
  3. Rumours they pumped a load of water out of the lake to make it happen
  4. Hilariously if we have another El Daggo again between Harbs and Sket
  5. In my experience the headphone rule is standard at all major city runs. Bone conductors only
  6. Rugby Half will be getting a load of entries for next Sunday now 😂
  7. Silverstone & Alton Towers have events in November off memory
  8. Feared when I read Watermead Parkeun has been cancelled for three weeks it might be a problem. I wonder if they might look at changing the route next year
  9. That they’ve put that out suggests to me it’s down to a 10k, rain or no rain tomorrow
  10. Was literally what I was thinking. The tactic that can be outdone by launching balls into the channels
  11. Surprised you said that. It’s a 15-20 minute walk into the town centre which is decent enough Now Bolton - that’s off on a limb
  12. London fans love a trip to Leicester. 1 hour direct train ride. Not a bad walk to the ground. Two pubs which allow away fans in with no issues
  13. Seeing as I am on the train and I have forgotten my headphones. My verdict to all Arsenal - Best London trip of them given it's the most accessible ground and easy to reach some of the best boozing areas of London. Aston Villa - Utter tip around the ground but a good day out in Birmingham (I work there - so less of an attraction for me) Bournemouth - Great for a weekend away. Ground is located in a very naff Boscombe - so it's not the best day out trip. Brentford - Best of the western London trips for me. Chiswick, drink on the Thames etc. Brighton - A cracking weekender. You could go to a number of places in Sussex. Wouldn't do it in a day anymore given its out of city location Chelsea - Decent enough but a desert for decent pubs Crystal Palace - Think it gets a bad rep and you can have a real good day. Everton - Both Liverpool grounds are a pain in how far away from the city they are but enjoying visiting. Considering a weekender for this one. Liverpool - See above. Everton is better on grounds of no tourism. Does score higher now you can actually see the pitch from the away end. Fulham - It's lovely day and ground but I am yet to be convinced that it's a great away day. Ipswich - Haven't been in a long time, looking forward to November 2nd. Manchester City - Better of the Manchester grounds given closer proximity to the city. Enjoy visiting Manchester Manchester United - Saving grace is the city its nearby cos everything else about it is pants. Newcastle - A king of away days. Spent two weekends there staying in Tynemouth with family. Beautiful coastline Nottingham - Would be a contender if you could actually get in a pub. Southampton - Totally naff. Have considered a weekend down there in the New Forest but as a city, it is terrible. Tottenham - Worst of the London trips. Worse than Palace to get to and from. Amazing stadium but there's bot much pleasant around it. West Ham - Ahhh maybe Spurs isn't the worst! Actually don't mind a trip to West Ham in terms of pubs - Hackney Wick, Bethnal Green etc but worst stadium in the league. Wolves - Terrible day out. Most unwelcoming place to visit by far.
  14. Tickets for the game before Legia are £14 & £4 for my dad If we wanted to go VIP with unlimited beer and food, £52!
  15. As I’ve said before in this thread, it’s used largely by clubs to track a trend Man City since that season go onto four league titles in a row. It’s like the seasons when Brighton finished 16th but 5th in xPts - that’s predicting an upturn which occurred over the next two seasons. Similar applies to Burnley when they finished 7th and all the xmodels were saying it wouldn’t last - mean performance returns the season after
  16. I get it your point about no attachment but I get to see a wide spectrum of supporting styles, atmospheres, playing styles etc. Games such as the Vienna or Genoa derby is so engaging, exciting and thrilling compared to Brighton and Brentford away I missed for the pair of them. Increasingly as well I think why should I throw time and effort into a cause which gives me very little back in terms of appreciation and has certainly moved on from being what they view as a fan
  17. Looks like Walsall wood gonna give it a go with their kids. They were 1-0 up at half time last night before losing to Lye
  18. What a gift from the Tory membership
  19. Ones exciting and new. The other is stale and increasingly sterile.
  20. The common misunderstanding with the x models is that the figures in isolation are a judge of performance. Their best use is in comparison against others performance, that’s why the points @Stadt made are salient. The xG model for example is subjective. You can probably find three different xG score lines for Saturday’s game for example. One shot might be marked 0.65, another source might mark it 0.48. So in isolation such stats as actual goals scored and xG are a subjective matter. You are rating performance against a subjective model. However if we use the same xG model for example and you compare other teams performance on that same scale. You have statistics which are more useful as a judge. When a professional club’s analyst identifies a player. Let’s say Jordan Ayew. They wouldn’t recommend them off an xG of 4.67 from a possible 6.15. They would recommend them in how Ayew’s performance compares to other players. You can see this with the fbref comparisons and percentile. The latter is more key driver in a signing but it’s all sourced by the comparison When we compare LCFC against other clubs on the x models, the performance is stinky.
  21. I told you a couple of days ago, the xPts does not directly translate to points. You can get 2.2 expected points for a draw for example The bigger stat there is they got the most xPts and the most actual points. Therefore the model is correct
  22. I did explain why this occurs on the expected points model. The best use of the x model is always how does this compare to others.
  23. Worth noting he didn’t let one of the inform players in the league, Semenyo get a sniff on Saturday
