What Happens if we don’t get promoted
CosbehFox replied to funkyrobot's topic in Leicester City Forum
Fully suspect we’d have a real battle to comply FFP for two seasons -
Bologna playing so well and now have a little bit of breathing room for a CL spot. 6 straight wins!

Are we bottlers and do we have a weak mentality?

This is at umpteen levels of the club too. Not just playing side. -

Eat shit tarmac - 1:50:22 at Cambridge HM. 3:31 quicker than Northampton in September and over 8 minutes quicker than last year. That’s what laying off the beer, getting some strength training and losing a stone does for you. 🤣 Highly recommend Cambridge Half. Roads are flat bar a couple of very minimal step ups. Crowds are huge and the first four miles goes very quick as you are lucky enough go through the college grounds of the University -
Join the dots. Enzo wanted a CM in January. Club failed him. With the expected injury to Praet and now Ricardo cos he’s playing too much, we have a midfield what looks pants and is getting bullied. The owners have completely cocked up the FFP with Rudkin. Therefore the failure to sign an adequate central midfield of quality is on them and it’s now having a direct effect on your performance and results. I haven’t suggested breaching FFP. But I am saying that the situation is a failure of the ownership to make good decisions. Might as well have not signed Coady as it stands if you want an error they’ve made this season. You can’t say what else they could have done this season because football ownership (and FFP) doesn’t work like that.
-
Answer is there given Wilf missing and the variety of midfield selections we’ve churned up across the three games
-
Well two points to that. Whose decision making has brought us that close to FFP? Who’s dealing with contracts/transfer fees etc to which makes it difficult to get rid of players to give FFP breathing room? This is the making of the clubs themselves. The decision makers then spent a week in January at a wedding

It has a monopoly Ric as along as tourism is running okay in Thailand, they are gonna be golden.
-
Because there was no need too. We were one of the favourites go up with a massive advantage over others. Promotion should be par for the course. If it comes out about how feckin silly we were in January, I don’t think people will be quite so forgiving on Top and Rudkin

Going off sulking down the tunnel post match isn’t endearing

It’s just over 50% what go back up over the last twenty seasons. Comparable second tier divisions in Europe don’t have the same success rate of bounce back ability. Those payments also ensure we have a budget which dwarves the second placed Ipswich. Therefore we have an advantage. That can’t be denied as much LCFC fans hate hearing it. Top and Rudkin clearly have the influence - they’ve opted with a manager with such a clear defined playing style. They have the ability to stop that or back it with support in signings etc.
-
What evidence do you have the league is any harder then? It’s an objective opinion. I could state Bundesliga 2 with huge crowds of 50k plus with Hamburg, Hertha and Schalke is a more competitive, difficult division. Yet no other league in the world has financial mechanism such as parachute payments giving us the advantage you seem to be ignoring. And the three seasons prior have been under the same leadership of Rudkin and Top
-
Pretty much admitted we had over played Ricky P.
-
The quality of that eleven who had to play the majority of that game don’t have the parts of their ability to make that system work. You can’t put someone like Hamza in an inverted role against a side who put ten men behind the ball and expect him to be threading balls through. You’ve gotta edit the plan
-
Yeah cos of course the league finishes in March. The most difficult league aka media myth where we have a massive financial advantage over 21 other clubs and we are making a dog dinner of it. There has to be realism now - this ain’t good enough. We’ve had this air of ‘it will be alright’ for three seasons in living memory and all of them went very wrong. This time it has very bad circumstances for the club.

Personally had enough of arrogant happy clapper stuff, so this is good news
-
Weak, soft, no leadership. Arrogant. Im incredibly pissed off with this set of players

Bit of a soft team for me, not a lot of leadership but time for players to raise above it -
Pearson should be off that. It’s a horrible calf raker
-
Ever heard him talk? It’s like the Terminator with a French accent
-
Will get bullied all over the shop in the PL again.
-
Is that Leeds taking the Fatawu tune?
-
Banged a £10 on them at 4/1, so hopefully some ju ju at play

I thought this but the opposition they faced was fortunate.
