  1. Went Royston in the end. On way there was a heavy rain shower and thought this game might be in trouble. Literally got thru the turnstile and seen the ref on the pitch with the coaches. Signal made game off. Asked Halesowen manager, he said yes it’s off. Didn’t like then seeing Royston not open the gate out - so only way out was via turnstile, bloke said what you doing? I went the games off. Stop taking peoples money and open the gate. He had a right sulk but they’ve got my £11 Jumped in the car and drove to Biggleswade Tn. Missed about first 7 mins. Ended up being an entertaining game where the away side Kidlington just tried to park the bus after an early goal. Ended 3-1 to Biggleswade playing nine men. Keeper saved a pen for Kidlington but must have took steps forward by the time it was struck, couldn’t believe the ref needed to check with the lino to order a retake
  2. Was BH cos it was the last day of Championship clashed with us playing at Fulham on same day. QPR were at home and saw plenty of their fans on the tube
  3. Having seen the videos of his wife earlier on in the evening and her subsequent videos/tik toks off waffle, it might be cos he’s about to commit murder
  4. Why does he look he’s in the dock?
  5. Won’t be Saturday at 3 tho to avoid the TV blackout. So could be Sat 1230, anytime on Sunday or Bank holiday Monday (as they did last season)
  6. Intervals / speed work. And they ain’t much fun 🤣
  7. Bromley v Blackpool Sat 1745 & Charlton v Cray Valley Sun 1745 on the BBC Don't understand that Crewe v Derby pick at all. Especially when you have Marine and Slough hosting league clubs
  8. @Foxes_Trust - will you be supporting the calls for a Championship ticket cap? https://thefsa.org.uk/news/championship-fan-groups-call-for-efl-away-ticket-price-cap/ - FSA are fully behind it alongside Leeds and Huddersfield supporters groups. Be good see us align.
  9. There's a small chance another train is put on - when I lived in Brum, they'd often put another around 11 during December cos of the Xmas markets. Hence my previous jibe about arguing with nobs from Nuneaton on that service.
  10. Excellent point - what happens when the TV deal increased by £x amount of hundred million and the top clubs push for a big slice of the pie. Increased inequality
  11. Same here - keep it. Think it's massively important in large cities where there are a number of non-league clubs. However l think your final point is a way of making it work. A lot of the NL pyramids abroad then stagger their kick-offs across the weekend - so you still get the fans in of your local pro club. You could for example have a NL kick-off at 1pm and then everyone plies in the club house at 3pm for the game on TV. Equally (which should happen more) clubs in close proximity such as Shepshed and Coalville could kick off Friday night / Saturday early afternoon to further take advantage of that.
  12. I don't disagree but how many teams does that occur within the third round? Be lucky if we get one occasion every year. The immediate thoughts of Exeter and Burton at Man U are a decent time ago now. Instead you have a load of poorly attended games on a January midweek - not every lower league team are lucky enough to get a decent draw. I'd imagine league 1/2 clubs lose money if they were to host a replay against most teams outside of the PL. Give you an example for the 4th Qualifying Round, I bet Chelmsford lost money from their trip up to Whitby in the week for their replay. Easy to get into the romance etc. but look at the replays from last year in the Third Round. WBA 4-0 Chesterfield - 12,638 - worth mentioning if it the original game went to extra time, Chesterfield were in a strong position. Accrington Stanley 1-0 Boreham Wood - 1,940 Wigan 1-2 Luton - 5,668 Wolves 0-1 Liverpool - 30,948 Swansea 1-2 Bristol City - 10,030 Leeds 5-2 Cardiff - 34,465 Let's face it if the money was really there - especially seen the gate receipts rule change, the clubs would be putting up more of a fight. You forget as well for the lower league clubs - Christmas/New Year is their busy time of the year too and combined with call-offs/pitch maintenance, it's a run on their players as well.
  13. I’m as traditionalist as they come. Think the 3pm black out is a good thing. However I actually get this. I don’t think it’s the big benefit to many smaller clubs really.
  14. Have the Sunday afternoon in Birmingham and be able to get a train back at a sensible time v not being able to get a train back (and good luck parking your car near St Andrews)
  15. ‘One more from me’ will be used by Ric over thousand times with Winksy
  16. Worst possible spot for Brum
  17. When I say youth ultras, they are literally a set of kids between 8 and 15.
  18. agreed on Hitchin, lovely town
  19. I am not sure. The ticket office hasn't changed in years bar the appointment of some stiff bod three years ago who dropped an almighty bollock by allowing general sale for European games. A fish straight out of the Cov/Ricoh Arena stable we like appointing.
  20. Similar examples I have encountered with family members which includes young children. When you throw in that the club have tried to officialise passing on of tickets - it encourages people to take the risk and buy second hand via social media etc.
  21. Why do you think he's disliked so much?
  22. Not confirmed but Raj is normally good with this
  23. Sparta & Excelsior Rotterdam - will matter on the opposition. Sparta doing well at the mo - and they also have this epic castle frontage to one of the stands. Feyenoord - I am going in three weeks - tickets generally sell very few to members, particularly for the more illustrious opposition but they do have a secondary market which is very useful to pick up single tickets. Ajax and PSV is very hard. I am finding tons of non-league clubs. Hearts & Hibs is opposition dependent. Either of the Old Firm or the Edinburgh derby, you'll need help from a member. Don't forgot Spartans who are gaining a rep with their youth ultras. Edinburgh City have possibly one of the worst grounds ever.
  24. Yeah - thinking of going there on Saturday but normally need a pub or cafe to kill some time beforehand. Congleton is my other option and offers a little of a town.
  25. Anyone been Royston? What’s it like as a place ?
