I would start Diabate, 2 effective shifts from him now. Puel already showing age is not a barrier. Need to be positive and shake off this Mahrez cloud. Swans will be up for this given recent good form.

Looks better than Gray.

If he's sold you'd imagine the fee will at least start with '6' and Ben Arfa will come in on loan most probably. Short term option to see if he'd fit and a direct position replacement. No throwing money at anybody with an hour to spare - won't happen and rightly so.

Man City make £50million offer for Riyad Mahrez?
Blanchflower78 replied to LCFCb0y's topic in Transfer Talk
Whilst City have spent shed loads of cash for a number of years now interestingly their record has only just been broken at 57m. They seem to have signed a few at that 50m level, can't see them budging on 55m. Mahrez likely to go AWOL this time, second let down on moving too much. Gamble is do we cash in to avoid a Berahino type melt down or stand firm? No-one begrudge him this move, don't think the chairman does either but timing is poor and other transfers of late mean players transfers inflate with environment were in. Utterly shite situation and potentially 24 hours to resolve. At a time many felt the club were just starting to put a marker back down... -
If anyone see's it any differently I'd love to know what was expected!

No chance and rightly so. Puel remit was to restore confidence, improve results and develop playing style. So far so Good.

Slimani is incredibly limited as a footballer. He's uncomfortable on the ball and even against Fleetwood looked second best too many times. Makes me wince each time you think of what we paid - criminal.
-
If we had a decent replacement then could see the player and club agreeing to a final lucrative move for Vardy. He's 31 and only heading one way, no sale on value thereafter to anyone. Trouble is we have an awful track record since Vardy with only Shinji looking close to good enough.
-
Made the point in another thread after watching Arsenal game and hearing good things. Looks a fantastic prospect for the Vardy role, instead of spunking money on second rates. Too early for the big time but looks competent enough to be part of first team squad already.
-
If Premier League teams were given the option of competing in domestic cup competitions, how many would bother?
-
Thought the young lad Brereton looked a Vardy replacement in the making. Quick, deceptively strong, great runs and a nuisance. Knew he was starting to catch bigger clubs attention, after that will certainly have caught a few more. We don't seem to have a vardy-esque type replacement, do much worse than slapping a wedge down for this lad.

Dreadful signing. Looks disinterested and does not fit our game. We've spunked another 20+m on wasted strikers again. Criminal when you add in Musa and Slim. How can LCFC afford to blow £60m so easily??

Rubbish again. L1 Ridiculously quiet, bossed again. Shame. -

L1 was starting to quieten down midway last year. There seems a shift in what was once a lively block. The game against Chelsea for example you would not have known there was any "singing" element bar 1-2 occasions. Good performances on the pitch tends to raise any crowd but L1 for example would be vocal regularly. There also seems to be a real lack of imagination, so many sides come down with catchy songs about their team or players - we seem very limited in this area? The clappers have now had their day (thankfully), maybe just a blip but needs livening up for sure. -
There is a rumour circulating on social media that Amartey once passed the ball forwards. Not sure how legit it is tho.

Having been out in Madrid and spending time in the Square there is no doubting that a very small minority played in to the hands of the Spanish police. They were simply biding their time and clearly had the nod to wade in whenever they saw fit. Sadly the sight of a blue flare which was simply extinguished and not thrown was the green light for them to mobilise and start the inevitable. This then provoked the minority and weve all seen what happened next. What amazes me is those who werent there citing 'yobs' singing german bombers, gibraltar, etc as being a reason to beat someone? Whilst in Leicester Seville fans got lively, sang (christ knows what?) and threw glasses. No-one was batton charged and it eventually calmed down, british police response was far different. The pc brigade on here need to realise football creates atmospheres outside of stadiums, yes there are knob heads involved and yes some will deserve being dealt with severely. Madrid was a large congregation with 99.9% drinking, singing, lapping up the sun. People were hit for simply staying in their seats at the bar/restaurants or standing where they were as had nothing to do with it. This is a spanish police problem not Leicester. Bruges, Porto and Copenhagen were fine. Move on. Big game to come Tuesday. * guillem balague saying on Sky that thousands of Leicester fans were involved in trouble and miss-behaving. Absolutely disgraceful, 2k fans in square and less than 20 would have been involved. Fake news at its finest!

Not cut out for this level. Best we can do is offload quickly. Real shame.

Sadly the second half will take the shine off what was another tidy performance from Amartey. Hes 21 playing in a struggling side and learning his trade.

Atmosphere is messy. Clappers become annoyance and creates random clapping sequences. Seems to encourage a clap and no voice. We dined off it in the great escape run, carried it through to our amazing champions campaign, bit like the players this year - weve all decided well never recreate it so given up?
