Here's what I know. Potter wasn't in contention, but the sacking of BR made Chelsea decision as another contender now in the market. Potter won't short term, it'll be a 2 year+ contract. Rafa will and is on the 3 original shortlist along with MON and another. Rafa will do championship if we go down. MON won't. Neither will the other on shortlist. The pushing of Potter has made it a bit more difficult as far as I'm aware. A case of go for him and see what happens. Or go with someone that could lift the place emotionally and a quick fix for prem football. That's what the club intended before Potter. Take it as you like, I have no reason to not believe them now they were correct over the sacking.

I see a lot on many threads around the "rebuild" and what Brendan said about it at the beginning of the season/pre. Giving the fact that he said it, isn't that a bit of him saying "sh*t, wrong signings I need to rectify this" whether it's him signing, rudkin, top no one knows what's going on but he openly wanted to get rid. Now, here comes top saying hang on Brendan we haven't got the funds to do that. We can't offload and try to buy as FFP is going to screw us. Fvck! So Brendan and the team are stuck with their bad judgement signings. Bring on January, "Top we need a couple of players as we are in free fall. Defence is a must!" We go do it, but still can't offload the shite as we wouldn't have no back up. I very much want to believe that a conversation has happened between top and Co and Brendan along the lines of just don't get us relegated, we can't afford to sack you, we have had to sort finances out you can have a war chest next season and you can off the shite for free if you want to. As people have pointed out, fa cup, community shield, Europe tours and an 8th. Something has gone amiss since the back end of last season. It's all down to the shite signings and I believe that "rebuild" is his way of saying they're shite and we fvcked up. I will always be a fan of Brendan as he delivered us the FA Cup. What I'm not a fan of is this, "I didn't get my own way" attitude and the lack of fuchs given in his demeanor.
