Premier League Thread 2023/2024
Leicesterpool replied to Nalis's topic in General Football and Sport
Well four weeks since Cooper left, they haven't really progressed. Same league position and not winning games. Nuno's style of football don't make him popular. Wolves fans love him, but won't have him back.. i think they realised his football is like watching paint dry despite his success. -

Just seen the league, they have scored 41 goals this season, not bad at all considering a team in the bottom three! however just can't keep a clean sheet to save their life. -

Poor Luton ain't had any luck this season, played some good football but just not getting the results. -
It always remain a big mystery, that season he had the most assists in the premier league. It's to hard to believe that despite Leicester winning the premier league that year, when it came to the euros just one Leicester player was picked... Vardy. While the likes of Simpson, Drinkwater and Albrighton were all over all looked. Yet six Spuds player were picked! no wonder we were shit in that euros.

Stringer's relationship with Nigel, were always toxic! haven't forgot when Leicester lost to 1-3 to Liverpool after the pearson's outburst with the fan, in the interview was interesting. "I have got to ask, do you expect to stay on".... Stringer... long pause.... "What's it got to do with you"... Pearson wow that was so awkward. After that Pearson band Stringer from any interviews from himself or any of the players. Much different relationship with Claudio, who bless even invited both Stringer and Jase Bourne into his house when he get the sack.

Be interested to know some weird scenarios, like imagine if wedding day was on the same day was Fa Cup final day at the same time as kick off... do you dare request to delay wedding by 90 minutes. Remember hearing a story where a colleague was getting married the same day Leicester won 3-2 at Forest, the last minute winner from Knocky. The wedding was like 1pm and apparently he kept asking the best man and brides father the score throughout the service, pissing off his bride. Apparently just after the I do's both the best man and brides father screamed "get in" that's when Knocky scored. Apparently the vicar even made a comment "ah seems the lord, isn't just blessing this marriage but also blessing the foxes" -
Putin's madness continues now bragging that his missiles are there to be used. I'm still can't get my head round how even Russian's top generals can't see danger in all this, whoever fires the missile basic ends the world. Russia attacks a nato nation then, nato will hit Russia back 10x the amount.

Some speculated it was down to mental health issues, as he was posting alot on his social media whilst off Radio Leicester, after that he never returned. Could be possible he was struggling with the regular demand of Radio Leicester, but considering he left quietly makes it interesting. When Jason Bourne left he announced it about two weeks prior, in order to go free lance and did occasional pop back when cover was required. Some day we may find out, won't be surprised if we see him set up a podcast of some capacity where more will be revealed perhaps even the handling of Alan Young exit.

Money troubles for sure it's expensive being an foxes fan for sure as it is for any other club. Headbutted by a Liverpool fan randomly back in 2019 after a game. I suppose cheeky days off work to attend games, like fake sick days away but very rare tbf, in later years i just said if i can't get the time off or get then it's not worth the hassle. -

Typical spuds is they won convincingly against villa but will probably will lose next week. -
Weirdly despite form think we could sneak this. 2-1 win.
-
Johnny English back for a fourth and i believe final outing. The franchise has been hit n miss. First good, second bad, third its okay and watchable. So forth probably wont be good.
-
Interesting thought, if leicester missed out on automatic spot and have to face the play offs, plus leicester reach the fa cup final we could three trips to Wembley in a space of two months. Possibly four if we win the fa cup and back for the charity shield. Im sure the money from all that would balance the books.

Surprised hes still alive. Shame Englands most gifted footballer of all time as come to this. -
Speaking to someone whose currently involved in the Leicester City ladies, outside Chelsea she ain't popular figure. Some have described as nasty peice of work, very disrespectful to coaching staff.

OMG that is tricky, 2021 was a special day however only 6k Leicester were present to witness it, it would be amazing if 30k could present for the next time. I think under the circumstances I'd take promotion as we need to get back as soon as possible. Plus winning it would mean having to play in the europa league whilst in the championship which as we've seen the likes of Wigan, Birmingham and Millwall not ideal. I'd say lets get to the semi's have a dayout at wembley then, lose and achieve promotion.

I reckon that could end his marriage no way is Megan is moving back to the uk.

One thing you can say about Trump is that Britain's connection with USA maybe improved. Biden as we know made obvious a few times he was no fan of the UK. Don't get that sense of the special relationship being there in last three years.
-
I think Biden needs reminding who Putin is at times. America need realise they are selecting a president to guide their country away from risk of war, instead they acting like there electing their next pope. When Biden first came into office in 1973, he must have thought "I'd love to president one day, but i wouldn't like to become president in my eighties, with my memory not what it was" seems like he's waited so long for this that doesn't care what age or what state his mental health is in.
-
Trump is coming back I think, I think even the anti Trump brigade can't bring themselves to vote for Biden. I think even they know an very old, possibly unwell Biden is clearly not suitable to remain as president, not just for America but for the world in general especially the state of the world at present.
