  1. Another name to consider is Slavisa Jokanovic, done a decent job at Fulham a few seasons in terms of building and developing them.
  2. Under 21s is more about the coaching rather the managing
  3. The only reason I think Carsley is being linked is because Gary Lineker suggested him for the job on his podcast to replace Cooper. I'd be very surprised if Dumb and Dumber have even heard of him.
  4. Taylor wasn't a bad manager, he was just crap at Leicester. The premier league was just a step to big for him.
  5. Carsley comes across as someone who doesn't like to be in the lime light, he always looked uncomfortable when doing media interviews. He's a nice bloke when he was watching his lad at Nuneaton Town, he's always friendly with supporters and happy to have a chat and do selfies and even stands with the fans. Proper down to earth. Takes the Leicester job... he won't have that freedom no more.
  6. Cooper we will probably face in the championship. West Brom wouldn't surprise me.
  7. Carsley lives in Kenilworth so location wise its perfect for him. But im not sold on Carsley. Its difficult to assess a manager in under 21s level. When he was in caretaker charge of England first team, i thought he looked a little out of his depth in moments and i dont think he enjoyed the experience.
  8. Carsley regularly down at Nuneaton Town every week watching his son play anyone wants to ask him lol.
  9. from London Derry?
  10. SOS for Spoons?
  11. Unlikely to happen but is a good time for a push for a fans forum at the club, in order to get an idea of what went wrong the season and what is the plan for the club for the next seasons in terms of direction. Invitation for Rudkin, Top and Whelan... not sure something BBC RL could arrange. If Top is still got ambition for the club then it's time he came out and met the fans to share his plans.
  12. He knows what ever happens... he's got a mass pay off coming!
  13. Dumb and Dumber
  14. Well our big return to the Premier League was short and sweet. Half of me wishes we never got promoted last season, to experience a doss of a season like this. Today strangely was improved performance and maybe even deserved a point.
  15. League title celebrations at the Boro v Smethwick Rangers clash, perfect match for the occasion. Boro were 0-2 down at half time, came back to win 3-2 with the winner in the 96th minute! 717 in attendance... meh... even though that's amazing for this level but thought many more would have attended. I guess the last two performances impacted on the attendance, more attended the previous fixture against Leicester St Andrews. Still one game to go in the midland floodlight league cup final.
  16. I quite admire how Burton have grew as a club, for many years Burton were just a very low non league club, who were either in the southern league premier or southern league midland. Cloughee junior went in there and built them and got them into the football league. Once in the football league club remained quite stable in the football league, got themselves to the championship as mentioned without spending vast sums of money. The new stadium they built in 2005 certainly helped develop the club. Recruited well in terms of players and managers, whenever they sell one of their top players they do seem to invest the money well and know how to replace them.
  17. Hope the Brewers can say up, unbelievable run they have been on, looked dead and buried back in January. However managed to climb out the bottom four. League One is proving to be very tight this season, Birmingham wrapped up title but the battle for second is still very much on. Between Wrexham and Wycombe for the automatic place. Then we have got the battle for the final play off spot, Reading, Leyton Orient, Bolton, Huddersfield and maybe even Blackpool fighting for that place. Blackpool must win today plus the extra game they have against Birmingham to stand any hope. I have got tickets for the Blackpool v Bristol Rovers game on the last game, I'm hoping there's still something to play for both. Bottom end is super tight, between 17th place Wigan Athletic and Bristol Rovers in 21st place could still go down.
  18. Boro v Smethwick Rangers tomorrow down at the oval, last league game of the season. Trophy presentation day, so likely a huge crowd tomorrow, probably 1k plus under 16s can attend for free. Huge attendance at Newquay last night in step 6 1,800 attended.
  19. Asking for trouble this, open to criticism.
  20. Well what can you say 😆
  21. Can Man Utd sink even lower.
  22. Nice little honour, I'm surprised we are hosting a lioness fixture so soon. However we will take it! not like we have the England mens play here often. Day after my birthday as well.
  23. English players just can't take penalties
  24. 5-1 Real Madrid, It'll get to 3-0! Arsenal will grab one back... celebrate like they won the whole tournament and still go on to lose 5-1!
