  1. If we did appoint Wellens I don't think we should throw instant promotion as part of his first task. Focus on rebuilding the squad and bring stability to the team and even the club, look to reduce the wage bill and look to utilise the academy players as well create a youthful side for the future. Maybe look to target a top half finish in the championship. Like hearing his honesty in interviews
  2. Villa v Forest final possible. Dont think we've seen an all midlands final since the 1920s
  3. Wellens would be a decent candidate.
  4. Finished 0-0 between Boro and Leicester St Andrews. A rare bore draw in a game that lacked chances. 857 in attendance which is fantastic at this level, just a shame it was a poor game for the big crowd to witness. However 100 points is up club record never achieved 100 points!! Yep people will argue its a weak league but consider the summer we didn't have a single player its quite good. Also on the radio other day it was said we have actually only used 17 players this season! Which compared to jim Ginnelly management we used 63 players in one season!
  5. Yeah probably true, you would think some sort of football advisor would say you better offer copying wrexham model seeing as its seems to have been a success. I actually someone like Lincoln City, only one of two efl clubs from Lincolnshire. Big city etc.. as potential i think to pushing into the championship. Passionate area.. with lots of history.
  6. Why buy a london club, when there dozens in the same city. I just thing you would be struggling to find the fan base. You think it would make sense to buy a club that you capture the whole area. Like a Norwich, maybe a Cambridge. In fact Cambridge Utd is probably a city with lots of potential to create an ambitious club. Maybe Lincoln City.
  7. Reading an article this morning where its claiming that the current Doctor Who actor is the less popular actor to play the role. Have to admit i haven't seen a minute of him playing the Doctor but is he that bad? Or is he let down by poor writing. Already talk of him being replaced. Best thing tor the show is axe... show is ancient history now. Time the Doctor faced his last battle.
  8. Weird today watching boro take on a team with Leicester in the title... dont happen often many many years ago we used to play in the same league as Leicester United. Leicester St Andrews today.. as anyone watched them play. Attendance was could be around 700 mark today.
  9. It was said sometime ago it was done deal. I cant seem him walking away from Real Madrid. I think they maybe tempted to go European... Jose in the summer?. Cant help think for Jose the Brazil job will be too go to turn down.
  10. Makes a good weekend when Cov lose
  11. If Barwell can get their gates up, they could put a serious squad together to push higher up. Just a shame about the manager. Interesting I think some of the seats in the Barwell stand is from Filbert Street.
  12. Youth only way forward even if it means spending two or three seasons in the championship.
  13. Blackpool 2008 i remember, relegation season. We didn't play well. In the open stand and if you remember blackpool at that didnt have a north stand either so you had the irish sea blowing into us. It was very cold.
  14. If you live in Barwell id say go for it. Dont waste any time or money on foxes at the present. Message to any foxes fans that live in Leicester or surrounding areas get to local non league clubs. The foxes dont deserve our support atm not to till certain people leave.
  15. They even tried adding 'Hinckley' to the title so Hinckley Leicester Road. But don't sound great.
  16. I think for the good of town of Hinckley, it would better off if either Leicester Road wound up or merger with Hinckley AFC. Make it one town team, playing within the town again. The Leicester Road stadium is a good setup as good potential. Having two clubs in the Hinckley as I think been damaging for both, Hinckley AFC being forced to play out of town for so long, means crowds haven't been great. Leicester Road despite playing in the town haven't attracted many fans. One town team playing at Leicester Road will I think really help the interest of football in Hinckley, especially with the foxes struggling at the present.
  17. Pleased for Boston I'm glad they have turned it round, hope they can finish the job and stay up.
  18. Think most of the ground was foxes fans.
  19. James and Eze are probably the worst two players to be interviewed, so awkward.
  20. I don't blame them no, I've been twice and getting away is not easy. Just surprised at the amount of people leaving at the same time. Another dig at wembley.. is that you play this at say at the stadium of light I don't think you see this amount leaving at 88th minute.
  21. 88th minute just look at the amount of empty seats I swear by the time the match is over there's only 10k left in the whole stadium.
  22. Wembley is terrible venue for England matches in terms of atmosphere. When you take England on the road up north the atmosphere is always an improvement.
  23. Scots must be feeling the same way as trojans felt thousands of years ago 😆
  24. Agreed, a polite no to the USA. Good thing about the commonwealth games, gives smaller nations the chance to win something compared to say the olympics.
