  1. More of that to come... yes please!
  2. England just look so much better when up against the stronger nations.
  3. To be fair good luck to him, nice guy wrong fit for Leicester sadly. He may go on to do very well.
  4. It's hard to believe Forest have just sacked an defensively organised manager in Nuno in order to hire the worst defensively organised manager in Ange. Winning the europa league at Spuds is an achievement.. but then you must ask how come Tottenham fans after all that were happy to see him go.. something to do with finishing place above the relegation zone. Funny really I was only saying week ago that the Forest recent success will soon coming crashing back down to earth.
  5. Signed an Hinckley player this week for the Boro, Luke Jones scored on his debut at the weekend overall he is any good?
  6. If Worcester can make serious push for promotion I can see them pushing for crowds towards the 2k mark.
  7. Forest just pressed self distruct button. First time in europe for over 30 years and they sack him... this will come back to haunt them. Few Prem clubs will be eyeing Nuno.
  8. I swear qualifying was more entertaining in the early to mid 2000s. Germany 5-1, Greece 2-2, Turkey 2-0. That era under Sven qualification seemed fun to watch especially when all England games were being played around the country.
  9. Tempted to do a weekend trip for this been a fair few years since I done South Wales trip. Last time I done Swansea was when Sven was manager and Chris Powell used to take pre match pens... that's how long ago.
  10. Qualification is rigged to make sure the big times make it, this is why I'm not keen on seeding teams. I would love to see a random draw, like for example you could get group of death where say France, England, Spain, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium are drawn together. Then you could have really weak group like Andorra, Gilbratar, Northern Ireland, San Marino, Estonia and Luxembourg. Giving some of the weaker teams a chance... another idea i like is doing like a champions league format. Of course things like this won't happen due to money... they really on big nations at the tournaments with high profiled players and huge fan base.
  11. I would be interesting to see if Tuchel has the bottle to change the captaincy, Kane just hasn't got it in him to lead this team. Candidate wise a few choices Rice possibly, Bellingham for a young age is showing lots of maturity.
  12. 78 fans made the trip from Truro! hats off to them. I'd be interested to know if anyone dared drive up the same day and drive back the same day. Surprised no airline company jumped on this offered cheap flight tickets to fly them there and back Loganair flying fans from Newquay Airport to Carlisle Airport.
  13. We miss the Birches rally call pre match, of course the poor guy is not in great health and had to reduce his duties around the club. You think maybe it's time for the baton to be passed on to another former fox to address the fans pre match like Matt Eliot.
  14. Club needs to do more to get the fans in the stadium early to build the atmosphere, I noticed at Villa Park they do interesting offers like if you arrive at the stadium like 90 minutes before kick off you get 50% off all food and drinks. Imagine open the turnstiles early from 12.30pm with the big screens showing the lunch time game with pints at just £2.50.
  15. Well that was like watching paint dry yesterday, if you were their the atmosphere pre match it was quite good, everyone seemed pretty excited. The occasion of playing an England international back in the midlands, just whole buzz in both the city centre and at the ground. Once the match kicked off that positiveness was quickly dead. Vibe from the team quite early was apparent, players did not look interested and certainly weren't living up to the occasion. By the second half it what noticeable that some fans had seen enough and left after the break. As the game went on more and more left the stadium, I left around 84 minutes to beat the crowds at Witton... that was a joke... even that was too late. Witton station was madness, even with minutes to go there was thousands trying to get on to that station back to Birmingham New Street, honestly it was dangerous. Not enough staff or police around I don't think, decided to get away headed long way round to Aston station... just as bad. Really poor organisation people queuing where they liked. I've been to Villa Park before and known it busy post match, but never as extreme as that. Took nearly an hour an half to do 2.5miles, could have walked but my dad can't walk far these days. Really poor planning from whoever was in charge, I don't think Villa Park can host an international again until they improve the transport links. Going back on the field, tactics just too slow I feel the team are having to play a system to suit Kane into the game and I'm not sure it's working well. Its still early days in the Tuchel regime, but not seen any positive signs of what's to come. I do fear there's already players in the camp sulking. It's annoying one of highly rated coaches in the world, with proven success and yet it feels like we are going backwards.
  16. Atmosphere at Villa Park or any ground away from Wembley is always better. More games around the country I say, just utilise Wembley for massive internationals. I always feel theres an sense of excitement when England comes to your backyard. Wembley feels too neutralised. Day for the tourists.
  17. RVN.... just seemed to give in too easy.
  18. Maybe preliminary round prior for the weaker nations leading up to the main qualifying.
  19. I remember about ten years ago Leeds charging away fans about £60.
  20. I would love to see some sort of format like the champions league now in terms of the qualifying, so when can see more big nations face each others in the qualifying.
  21. Just seen an article on facebook that Birmingham City fans are being charged £45 to see there side play at Coventry. Is that likely the cost we will face when we travel to the CBS.
  22. That would be interesting idea. Maybe two week international break with four games. Perhaps in February and November. With March being for Nations League.
  23. I remember many years ago, there used to be a random friendly in August. Players used to moan about that, it was always be midweek on a Wednesday night. Players on that occasion would need to request to be excused from their club for about three days of that week. I think Michael Owen once said, they'd report to the England camp late Sunday night and have just have two training sessions on the Monday and Tuesday and brief one on Wednesday morning. By Thursday they needed to be back at the clubs.
  24. There back, but always feel September internationals are too soon. Leagues only just returned and yet players got separate for international duties. Plus transfer window just closed so some players have got to wait till after international break to meet their new team mates. Tbh cant moan too much got tickets for England v Andorra at Villa Park, should be easy victory. Followed by a very tough test in an always hostile Serbia. Looking at squad selection some meh... Henderson again 🙄, Watkins... no goal so far this season, Rashford spent months injured, Lewis Skelly was awful last time. Players missing Trent... should be picked, Grealish maybe considering he started well for Everton. Shame for Delap as if he wasn't injured i think would have got his first call up.
