  1. Since when were Forest chasing Champions League football.... last season they overachieved.
  2. Even though he could do a job at top six club, they just wouldn't abide with his style of football as we seen at Tottenham. I think he only last 10 games and they only lost twice. Nuno could probably do a better job at Arsenal then Arteta.
  3. Nuno is probably there best chance of silverware in years. He leaves Forest will go on to regret it, alot of premier league clubs would be keen to get his signature.
  4. Dont rule out Rodgers going Forest, hes been sounding off at Celtic. Would deffo become hated more round here.
  5. Nuno done an amazing job, Forest fans wont be happy and will turn on the owner if true. Nuno to West Ham, next... could see right merry-go round management.
  6. Spuds fans moan that Eze deal highjacked. Guys an Gooners fan what do they expect. Imagine arguments sake your playing for Leicester, Leicester fan etc... then Forest come in for you offer to double your salary plus bonuses etc. Do you go or does your Leicester heart take rule?
  7. I just can't imagine the guy getting peed off at a team if there 0-3 down at half time playing poor. Seems to nice and maybe shy, Morecambe fans will be more grateful they have club to support. Relegation likely expected from most supporters, but if they were to try avoid relegation you would think you safer option would be is to go for an experience National League coach rather than someone whose just starting and not really got much coaching experience.
  8. For the premier league, the model was perfect when it was the same top 4 of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Them four clubs were the most wealthy and constantly secured the top 4 without fear. As you say the arrival of oil rich Man City ruined there perfect premier league model, soon as Villa and Newcastle got bought out they acted quickly with PSR.
  9. Just been listening to Alan Shearer's thoughts on PSR and very much true what he is says. Clubs like Newcastle United and Aston Villa can get into a position when they are close to get into that next level of becoming more of threat to the usual top four guard but are prevented due to PSR. Even though both clubs have the money as do money other clubs in the league, you are not allowed to spent, whilst the usual six seem to spend and spend with no issues. It would be interesting to know how the premier league would look without PSR, maybe certain clubs could have avoided relegation. Just imagine last season we could have gone out spent some money and brought some much needed quality that could have kept us in the league... whilst one of those top six powerhouses they love would have gone down. I get the part about wanting to protect clubs from overspending and going into the red, like we seen with clubs like Portsmouth in the past. But the role needs to change if you got prove that your owners have got the cash to finance a deal, then they should be allowed to spend.
  10. Ashvir Singh Johal just seen named as manager, remember him walking around the pitch at the KP pre match. Best of luck to him, but the poor guy i think will struggle. I hope though he goes to prove many including myself wrong.
  11. Disappointing but tough draw for Barwell.
  12. Neil Warnock the summer of 2007, he just left Sheffield United after eight years. Mandaric I think pursued him, I think Warnock wanted more time to rest after the Sheffield United job so turned us down.
  13. Danny Ward, cost us a lot of points in the relegation season. Still can't believe Rodgers thought Ward would be the perfect replacement to Kasper. He only played like five games in three years, suddenly he becomes the number one.
  14. There was something I read that Paul Jewell was being set to replace Micky Adams in the summer of 2004, he was at Wigan Athletic at the time. I think it didn't go through as Leicester were wary about a quite large compensation to Wigan of which money the club didn't have at the time... sounds familiar. So club stuck with Micky Adams for a few more months.. rub salt in the wounds Wigan went on to get promoted that season.
  15. Brian Little said in his under the cosh interview, Milan Manadric offered a return to Brian in 2007 just after Rob Kelly been sacked to come until the end of the season, but didn't fancy working under Milan even on a short term basis.
  16. Graham Potter of course, was given a full tour of the training ground but as amazing as it was, Potter still said 'no'
  17. Not so long ago there was thread called Nearly Leicester Players, this time thought it would be good look back at Nearly Leicester managers. Not the typical paper talk as pretty much majority of the links in the press are most likely untrue. Think about manager's that have go on record to say they were offered the Leicester job but turned it down or actually applied and held talks. To name a few- Harry Redknapp in 2001- After disaster spell under Peter Taylor, which seen the club rock bottom of the premier league. Leicester needed a saviour, Redknapp at the time had been out of work for just over a year. Redknapp verbally agreed to replace Taylor only for him to change his mind at last minute. Martin O'Neill in 2015- Before Ranieri, O'Neill admitted on Talksport he was offered the job in the summer to succeed Nigel Pearson in what would been emotional return to Leicester. O'Neill being forced to turn it down due to commitments with the ROI. Jesse Marsch in 2022- Not a popular choice at the time, the American only needed to sign the dotted line. However after watching Foxes take on Bournemouth, he just thought "nah" and turned the foxes down.
  18. Probably last season was closest chance we would have seen Man United relegated likewise Tottenham, sadly all of the promoted three were terrible. Parker looks set for his fourth relegation in four premier league campaigns he's managed in. Seems to be similar to Warnock, brilliant in the championship but terrible in the premier league.
  19. Worst stadium in the efl, soulless, miles from anywhere, just three stands, lacks character. New stadium looks impressive.
  20. Attitude and body language from players pre match during the match was terrible 13 players that featured thats including subs looked disinterested and going through the motions. Monga only looked liked he was interested in getting involved. I'd happily see the under 23's start against Charlton. This current crop couldn't give a crap. Last season yet ended.
  21. Cannot call this game, im not sure where the goals will come from this season. Take a point and keep the points coming in on the board.
  22. As anyone recieved their tickets yet?
  23. For anyone travelling from hinckley, Narborough, Nuneaton way. 0759 train is running direct from nuneaton to preston.
  24. I look at the Isak thing like this for Newcastle, if they don't want to be selling feeder club to the top six and want to showcase what a massive club they are and how ambitious the club is, they must stand there ground and keep Isak at the club no matter what. But the pressure on Liverpool and say if your that desperate for Isak then pay the world record transfer fee.. least Newcastle can say you can go when Liverpool pay the price they value you at. If the transfer doesn't happen, Isak will wear Newcastle top again after the period of sulk he will certainly realise he needs game time and will request a return to the first team. No club should feel pressured to sell their top players. Leicester did the same with Mahrez, he wanted out one January club said "fine" but Man City need to meet our demands. They didn't but after period of sulk he came back. Sold him a few months later when they met the demands.
