Conor Coady sold to Wrexham - official
Leicesterpool replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Coady was certainly good enough to be fantastic for us, sadly first season he had injury issues and second season he was with a poor team that were only heading for relegation. -
Non-League Football 25/26

Proper upgrade from the old ground, for about 30 years they were pretty much restricted from climbing the leagues due to the ground. Finally got decent facilities to really push up the leagues. I can see being a force in years to come. -

Imagine if your house collapsed and nothing but rubble left and then put your house on market for a million... exactly the same 😂 -
Think rules changed now all clubs dont have to produce a programme no more its optional. Think only the fa cup you need to produce a programme. Some gone for digital programme. Find ironic how clubs in say midland division will still produce a programme, to follow part of tradition yet a championship club with more funds and fans wont.

Watford annouce they will no produce a matchday programme. Sad as part of tradition for some is collecting a programme. They say programme sales are low, okay simple solution dont print as many, only print a thousand copies. Think i heard swansea are another club that dont produce a programme. Derby recently brought theres back follow fan requests. Bristol City is independently produced by supporters.

Some folk arent keen comparing the men to the women football. Im sure other nations do it as well. I mean looking at USA amazing womens team, most successful womens team in world football whilst the men aren't even in the top 20 world rankings. Germany at the present are probably on the same par. Both the mens and womens were as great as each other been seem to be going through a weak phase by there standard. Norway is interesting, there womens team used to be such a force but have dropped of big time. At the moment the mens team seem to developing after years of nothing.

Won't be long before the Mike Ashley rumours start about emergency takeover. Weren't long ago he tried to buy Derby County during their struggles.

Interesting to think there's a worst off club in the championship than us, I'd be amazed if a full time appointment will be made into for this game. Sheffield Wednesday will struggle to attract anyone at the present, likely I'd expect some sort of backroom coach will still be in temp charge most likely end up getting long term anyway. -
But only one of them won their finals. I get we are improving but every tournament England men always exit tournament looking like they could gave extra.

Difference between England women and men going into a major tournament Women: Give 110% and nothing less, go into a tournament to win it! Will play injured if must, playing for my country is their dream, proud English women and play for the shirt. Men: Turn up give 70% and wanting to avoid injury so can be available for club side for pre season, if we get knocked out early means got time to head to Dubai for a week or two.... When listen to ex players interviews years later, the common theme for a player instead of talking about a certain moment in there career it'll be all about the night get drunk in a pre-season tour.

Its bit like Portugal of 2016. Finished 3rd in the group, having not won one game of their group stages yet go onto lift the cup.

Phil Neville huge bellend... imagine walked out on this team for the money to manage inter miami. Since he departed... 3 trophies in the cabinet.

What a team we have now, safe to say dominant force of european football. How we won yesterday im not sure, but credit to our gals they defended heroically and got rewarded. I love at the final whistle how are players are saying "proud to be English" seems to hurt men players to say that. Showcases to me these women of ours certainly would go for a brick wall to play for their country. Sarina Weigmann is now officially greatest England manager either men or womens. Sir Alf still a legend with the world cup... but Sarina i think surpassed that now.

Read on BBC that Wrexham are going for Christan Erikssen this won't surprise if that actually does happen.

Non-League Football 25/26
Leicesterpool replied to SemperEadem's topic in General Football and Sport
Skeggy might actually get a decent crowd on the Sunday with it also being holiday season. I remember when Boro played away at Skeggy in during the main summer season and there was a few more extra on the gate, there were quite a few from Yorkshire attended who supported neither just attended as they heard there was a game on and thought they'd give a ground a look at. -

Off to Newport Pagnell on Saturday to start the Boro league campaign, early i know only July. Coach booked by club, then it announced the coach has been cancelled due to the driver taking ill. Not an easy place to get. Straight to Milton Keynes and then work it out from there -
Anyone noticed it'll be third tournament in a row where England could face Spain in a final! World Cup Women 2023, Men Euro 24 and now maybe Women Euro 25. Hopefully the Germans do the business.... never thought I'd say that can't bare us losing to Spain again.

Hoping temp fate, but can't see us scoring tonight haven't troubled there keeper enough shots just high and wide.
-
Can't be bothered with extra time, just want it done and dusted in normal time.

I always feel that when it comes to the womens game it's country before club, rather than the men where it's club before country. Lauren James seems only one I feel doesn't follow that suit. I never get the feeling for England its the height of her career. For Lauren it's about playing for Chelsea and becoming a top player for them or whatever club side she plays for.

God save the king is not exactly song about the country, doesn't fill you with pride. Just sing about a family who we spend money on allowing them to live a life of luxury. Time to allow us to have our own anthem like in the commonwealth games.
-
England tbh have only really had one decent full 90 minute performance... which was against the Dutch. Some will say what about the wales game?... we never got in second gear in that game.. Wales were terrible. For most of this tournament we seem to perform better in the final 30 minutes.

Very sad news, certainly a proper rockstar. Credit to him even though he moved to the states, he never allowed himself to forget his midlands routes and of course his last concert was at his beloved Villa Park. RIP OZZY!
